MEGA RAIN
13 miles DONE! So I was meant to be training for this half marathon but I never signed up as the course was an out and back and on a trail two things I disliked .... then there was a charity event Saturday night so I figured I would just do my “own” race. The weather forecast was storms starting mid morning but figured I would be done by then - totally should have checked the forecast for the whole of my route not just my neighbourhood Running was ok not amazing mile 5/6 was a bit of struggle and started stopping at lights/walking half a block. I hit German village mile 7 and the rain came down hard I stopped under a tree for a while not really know what to do .... I couldn’t even get my phone to work to call an Uber home so figured would just have to keep going. It got pretty bad at mile 9 and I stopped again to wring out my clothes as by this point I was soaked again not much else to do but keep going and it did feel quite beastly pounding the pavement with rain coming down like a bad ass movie scene! I hit the the home stretch back round the park at mile 11 and a women walking her dog gave me a shout out and high 5 which was just what I needed and then promptly cried when all the emotions of how hard it is to run and balance life and a not sleeping toddler and jobs and everything! There was another stop at mile 12 as my phone started calling someone luckily it was SB and not England and that carried me home absolutely drenched with a messed up ankle but with ALL the endorphins Now the question is if to carry on........
Running the final 0.1 past my own cheer squad Stretching out with my PT TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
What do the boys do whilst you run.....DANCE PARTY
