Ralphie aka “Half Face”, 3 years old, Rustaveli Avenue

Ralphie is a street dog who was vaccinated and neutered by the Tbilisi Animal Monitoring Agency. For some time he had a relatively good life. He lived near the US Embassy and was regularly fed and cared for by the Embassy staff. Unfortunately, when some new dogs migrated to the same territory, they started to bully Ralphie and chase him away. For his protection, Ralphie was taken to the shelter. Ralphie is a gentle and cheerful dog, who loves people and gets along with other dogs as long as they aren’t too dominant. Wouldn’t it be great if he could find a loving family and a place of his own?

On Saturday, April 8th, to recognize World Stray Animal Day, Dog organization Georgia and their volunteers took a pack of the shelter’s dogs on a nice walk through Tbilisi’s center, along Rustaveli Avenue. It was a beautiful day and both the dogs and the volunteers had a wonderful time. During the walk, volunteers handed out flyers and talked to passersby about the shelter’s activities.

Coco, 2-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix, Rustaveli Avenue

We’ve posted Coco a few times before, and we have a confession to make: she’s our photographer’s favorite DOG dog. Good news is that she’ll finally be leaving the shelter soon, to live with a family in Germany. We wish her the best of luck!

შაბათს, 8 აპრილს, უსახლკარო ცხოველთა საერთაშორისო დღის აღსანიშნავად, Dog organization Georgia-მ და მათმა მოხალისეებმა თავშესაფრის ძაღლები სასეირნოდ გამოიყვანეს თბილისის ცენტრში. ლამაზი დღე იყო და მოხალისეებმაც და ძაღლებმაც კარგი დრო გაატარეს. რუსთაველზე სეირნობისას, მოხალისეები ფალერებს ურიგებდნენ გამვლელებს და ესაუბრებოდნენ მათ თავშესაფრის ღონისძიებების შესახებ.
