Benny and The Abe || Benjamin & Abe
After the break-up with Shay, Benjamin felt lonelier than ever. He felt that what he needed was a boys night out, and who better to do that with than Abe? They decided to meet up at a restaurant/bar downtown LA, and though Abe was under 21, his fake ID worked just fine - money is money. They ordered some food and beer, and began to talk. About Fraye, about work, about the break-up, and about upcoming videogames that Benjamin was working on. After a few beers, they ordered a round of shots. Slowly, they were getting drunk, and when you put two European men together with alcohol, things get loud.
"So, what are you doing in Los Angeles? I've been to Ireland, it's beautiful", said Benjamin, "Though, Sweden is also beautiful, but I came here anyways." Abe sighed. "Well, my friend, it's complicated. I came to find my father, and I did, but we don't talk as much as I hoped.." Abe trailed off. "Ah", said Benjamin, "Do you ever miss it back home? I do." "People are so much ruder in America. I wasn't expecting that. So yeah, I miss it sometimes. Especially when people cut me off in traffic." They both laughed, and continued talking about things they missed, and things they didn't like about LA.
Benjamin had thought drinking would take his mind off of Shay, but it only made things worse. "You know what?", said Abe. "What?", asked Benjamin. "You need to flirt with a new girl. Prove to yourself that you don't need Shay. Like... That girl over there", he said, pointing to a brunette sitting by the bar. "Are you sure?", asked Benjamin, sighing. "Of course!", replied Abe. "Go. Ask to buy her a drink. Get her number!" Benjamin stood up, and nervously walked over to the girl. "Hello!", said Benjamin to the girl. "I have a boyfriend", replied the girl, with a voice that sounded like she was auditioning for Jersey Shore. Benjamin nodded and walked back to the table Abe was at. "So?", asked Abe. "Another thing I miss about Sweden... the girls." Benjamin said, laughing.
