Preview: Costumes: Not Just for Halloween (Sam Winchester x Reader)
"What do you wanna be for Halloween?"
"What do you mean?"
"Uh, it's Halloween, the one day a year you can be whatever you want. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather be a sexy nurse than myself."
"Well now that you mention sexy nurse, I'm interested." He said as he lied down next to you on the bed, where you were sitting up against the headboard, legs crossed, your beautiful (y/e/c) eyes glued to the screen of your laptop. You were looking for any information you could find on the case you were currently on, until a Party City ad popped up that reminded you that you still didn't have a costume. So, you went to Pinterest where you were reminded by a board of couples' costumes that Sam didn't have one either.
"Why don't we use the stuff we already have? I'm sure we can find something,"
"Nothing that's in one piece or PG." You and Sam had a habit if trying out lots of fun things in the bedroom. Basically, both of you were kinky. Which is why he didn't mind when you suggested role playing for the first time. 4 orgasms and a torn bed sheet later, it was safe to say that your firefighter had done his job.
However, this case was in a neighborhood full of children, and their parents probably wouldn't appreciate the costumes you have in your arsenal.
A/n: This could possibly turn into smut if I get enough notes, but until then, I have no requests, so go ahead and ask for something to add to this or something new! :)

You woke up to the sounds of footsteps, immediately you tensed up and calmly grabbed the small pocketknife you hid under your pillow while you slept. You sat up and turned on the light as you raised your small knife and relaxed the second you realized it was Dean.
“Dean what are you doing?” you whispered even though there wasn’t anyone else in the room that you could wake up.
“Nothing, go back to sleep.” He answered back as he looked in the rooms drawers for something.
“Yeah, right. What are you doing?” You knew your brother was up to something, you knew him like the back of your hand.
“Look, I’m going to find Sam. Now go to sleep I’ll be back in the morning.” he said hesitantly and got up from where he was looking. “Hey do you know where my phone is?”
“If I tell you will you let me come with you?”
“No.”
“Then I don’t know where your phone is either.” You said crossing your arms a smirk making its way to your face.
“Y/N please, why do you wanna go see him anyway?” He asked frustrated.
“Well, excuse me for missing my brother for after years. Please let me go with you?” You finished off giving your best puppy dog face, a trick you’d learn from Sam himself.
“Ugh fine, now tell me where my phone is.” he said giving in.
“In the bathroom.” you said getting up and starting to get ready. You were both out of the motel room in under 10 minutes.
You both got in the car at the same time, you riding shot gun, and Dean immediately popping in one of his old cassette tapes. You smiled as the song began to play, it was “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”. You both began to hum it slightly as you drove off to find your brother. You laid your head against the window, the cold glass plus the sweet hum of baby as Dean drove her, lulled you into a deep sleep. Dean smiled at you and carefully placed a jacket on you, before he continued the journey to Stanford.
“Hey kid, we’re here.”
You slowly opened up your eyes and blinked out the sleep, before stretching and letting out a loud yawn.
“okay dino, we don’t wanna waste more time.” He said after chuckling slightly at your overly loud yawn, “You ready?”
“Yup, let’s go.”
You both climbed out of baby, and began walking towards the tall apartment building. When you got to Sam’s apartment you sighed, thinking of everything your brother had achieved and here you were about to make him return. You were snapped out of your thoughts when you noticed Dean crouching in front of the door trying to open it with one of your bobby pins.
“We’re breaking in?” You half whispered half yelled at your brother.
“Yup” he said matter of factly and opened the door, “You coming?”. Slowly you walked in after Dean looking around slowly, he really did it. He had a home, a real non-hunting life, something you’d probably never have. In the midst of the dark room Dean managed to accidentally make something fall.
“Oh my god, you idiot.” You whispered when suddenly you heard footsteps coming towards you, and you pressed yourself against the nearest corner as you saw your older brother was being tackled by a slightly taller figure.
“Woah, easy tiger.” You heard your bother say, and you basically hear his smirk.
“You scared the crap out of me.” You heard the voice of who you immediately recognized as your little brother. Your small, lanky brother was now a giant. Who would’ve guessed.
“That’s because you’re out of practice” Dean answered and you saw Sam bank his hand and flip him, hearing a thud on the floor.
“Or not.” You giggled slightly and rolling your eyes at your two brothers finally back together.
“Wait, Y/N/N is here too?” Asked Sam, and you noticed how his voice changed slightly into a much softer one than before when he said your name.
“Yup, I’m here too.” You walked from where you were hidden, letting the moonlight shine on you and he smiled at you slightly.
“What the hell are you two doing here?”
“Just looking for a bear.” Said Dean as he rose his eyebrow.
“What the hell are you doing here?” He repeated more serious, letting you know that he wasn’t playing around.
“Okay, look. We gotta talk.” You said walking closer to him.
A/N: hey guys I know this is a little short, I wanted to experiment a little and do a series on the actual episodes (does that make sense, idk). Hope you guys liked it!

“Dad’s on a hunting trip, and he hasn’t been home in a days.” Said Dean, Sam stayed silent with a serious face and looked at you. As if trying to ask: “is this true?”. You nodded slightly and he got the message as he excused himself and you outside.
“Jess, excuse me. We have to go outside.”
All three of you walked down stairs to where the car was parked. Sam and Dean bickered he entire time about your dad. You simply stayed silent though, you didn’t have much to say because you kind of agreed with both of them.
“So what are you gonna do? You're just gonna live some normal, apple pie life? Is that it?” Dean said and you sighed. Why did they have to be like this?
“Not normal. Safe” Said Sam shortly, you rolled your eyes at how annoying they were being. As much as you didn’t want to get into this, you had to be the mediator. Like always.
“Look Dean, Sammy’s does have the right to say no and live a normal- safe- life.” Sammy smirked slightly and nodded pointedly at Dean while your other brother rolled his eyes, before you continued. “But Sam, this is important. Dad’s in real trouble right now.”
“If he’s not dead already. I can feel it.” Dean said, but stopped when he saw you glare at him. “Look, we can’t do this alone.” He said, much softer now.
“Yes, you can.” Said Sam, while Dean looked down almost like he was giving up.
“Well, we don’t want to.” You said looking at your brother straight in the eye. You noticed that he was much taller than when he left, you felt kind of sad that you missed out on almost two years of his life, but pushed the thought away. There were more important things to think about right now.
Sam thought for a moment before asking, “So, what was he hunting?” . You smirked, he was back.
You stopped at an old gas station, Dean hopped out of the car and entered the small convenience store at the side coming out a few minutes later hands full of different types of junk food. Sam was sitting shotgun checking the old tapes Dean had in the car, none of them to his liking. You slept comfortably in the back, but a someone yelling from outside the car woke you up.
“HEY!” it was Dean, “YOU WANT BREAKFAST?” He yelled for you as he walked closer to Baby. You peeled open your eyes and sat up in the small space you had in the backseat.
“No thanks.”
“Yeah.” you and Sam said a the same time, so Dean threw you a bottle of water and then a bag of potato chips.
“How’d you even pay for all that?” Sam asked, moving the box of cassette back to where it was before. “You and Dad still running credit card scams?”
You zone’d out of their conversation getting bored, you continued to munch on your chips until your mind was brought back to reality. They were talking about how Sam didn’t like the music and you chuckled slightly.
“Well House Rules Sammy.” You rolled your eyes, already knowing what Dean was gonna say, having already discussed this before on many occasions.
“Driver picks the music,” Your older brother said, popping in one of the old tapes.
“Shotgun shuts his cake-hole.” You finished the sentence with him, and you both smirked.
“You know Sammy is a chubby twelve-year old, right? It’s sam okay?”
“Sorry, I can’t hear you. Music’s to loud.” Said Dean turning up the volume. You giggled slightly, this was gonna be a long ride.
“Idiots.” You said under your breath, smiling. You knew you didn’t want Sammy to come back into this hard life, but you couldn’t say you didn’t miss it.
“Guys, we’ve been here for like an hour. I’m starving.” You said exasperated, you’ve been in the library trying to find out about this local legend some girls told you about. It was about a young woman who got murdered on Centennial, and she hitchhikes. So whoever picks her up, supposedly disappears.
Your brothers were clearly oblivious to your complaints, still trying to find something on this woman in the libraries computer. You watched as Dean tried to search up different things like: murdered woman hitchhiker, or Centennial hitchhike murder, and lastly Murder on Centennial. None of them showing any results.
“Here, let me try.” You said thinking of something, and also trying to help so you could leave faster. But dean slightly smacked your hand, making you move it back.
“I got it.” Man was he stubborn.
Annoyed, you pushed Dean’s chair back and putting your’s instead of his in front of the computer. Sam simply chuckled softly, watching you.
“Dude!” Said Dean, looking mad.
“Man, what a control freak.” He half yelled half whispered, after being told off by a near by librarian.
“Okay, look.” You said, ignoring your brother. “So, angry spirits happen because of violent deaths. Right?”
“Yeah.” Dean said, still clearly pissed.
“Well, what if it wasn’t a murder?” Both your brothers arched their eyebrows and moved closer to see the computer as you typed. Suicide on Centennial.
A second later, an article pops up. You glanced at your brothers before clicking on it and you read the first paragraph out loud to your brothers. Apparently it was a woman who committed suicided by jumping off a bridge. You sat back, feeling accomplished but knew there was still a lot to do before finishing the job.
“Does it say why she did it?”
“Yeah, apparently an hour before she did it she called 911. her two kids were in the bathtub, and she left them for a minute and when she came back they weren’t breathing. They both died.” Sam said, having read the article from beside you.
Dean noticed there was a picture of the husband next to another one of Silvania Bridge, “Hey, that bridge look familiar to you?”
i’m separating each episode into three parts, and will be releasing one episode a month (so like three series stories a month, does that make sense?) besides other non-serie oneshots.

Summary: reader is anxious about their birthday.
Word Count: 868
Y/N: your name
Y/N/N: your nickname
You had to say the past week had been, well, something else. Your birthday was on Sunday so of course your big brothers decided that everyday they’d ask the same goddamn question you began to hate so much: “Who’s birthday is on Sunday?”. It was stupid really but the thought of your birthday was almost unbearable to withstand. It was hard to explain why you hated that date so much, you didn’t hate being alive it was just that good things didn’t tend to happen on your birthday and them reminding you of it wasn’t helping. You had managed to keep your composure for the entire week, well, almost. Everything was going okay until Saturday, the second you woke up the anxiety was already heavy inside your stomach, the stress from the next day was very present. Slowly you lifted yourself from the bed preparing yourself for the inevitable question you were to be asked.
You walked calmly into the kitchen and began preparing yourself a cup of coffee, suddenly you felt a presence behind you and you tensed up turning around grabbing the person by their collar and putting a fist to their face. Immediately you realized it was your older brother Damn, anxiety and hunter instincts really don’t mix well.
“Hey, hey, hey. It’s just me chill.” Said Dean giving you a scared look knowing your strength and what would’ve happened if you’d just punched him without hesitating.
“Oh crap, sorry De.” You said as you let go of your big brother and straightened his shirt where you had grabbed him. You cringed internally as you anticipated the question, you began counting, waiting for the moment.
“Hey! Who’s birthday is tomorrow?” You heard Sam coming in from the hallway and the second you the last words escaped his lips you broke down. All the composure and patience you’ve had the entire week was gone. Suddenly every single memory from you past birthdays flooded into your brain like a someone pulled out the plug keeping everything inside.
“Y/N? Y/NN, what’s wrong?” Asked sam concerned he had done something to cause this.
“I’m- I’m sorry, excuse me.” You nearly sobbed, moving them away and running into your room. You didn’t want to face your past, not now at least. You laid on your bed for who knows how long, reminiscing on every single thing in your life. It confused you how your siblings weren’t the type to get excited over birthdays unless of course, it was yours. As always it was time for your brothers to come in and try to help you which they usually did, but this time you didn’t think they could. So you heard as the door to your room creaked open to reveal your brothers, your face against the pillow you only heard and felt them sit down next you.
“You wanna talk?” Said the person you could only describe as Sam as he put his hand on your back.
“Come on Sammy you already know the answer to that.” You said curtly as your tears began to dry on your cheeks.
“Doesn’t hurt to try though. So tell us what’s wrong, cause you know that if you don’t tell us now we’ll get it out of you somehow.” He said, and you knew he was right. It always ended like that; you hesitated before flipping over and sitting up.
“I-ugh. I just really don’t like my birthday.” You said looking down at your hands.
“Why?” Asked your eldest brother Dean.
“Because not very good things have happened on my birthday De. Don’t you remember?” upon hearing silence you continued, “My mother died when I was 6, so I was put into foster care, on my 7th birthday my foster parents ended up being freakin’ mauled by vampires, Dad finds me and so on until he leaves, then we find him and he too dies on my birthday. It’s like I’m bad luck…” You finished, tears leaking out once again from your eyes.
“Y/N. Don’t ever say you’re bad luck ever again. You are the everything but bad luck Yeah, you’ve gone through stuff but all that just brought you to us. We won’t ever let those things happen to you again, do you understand?” Said Dean reassuringly to you.
“yeah.” you answered softly.
“Y/N/N we love you so so much, you have made our lives smooch better and brighter. I remember when Dad first brought you I was so happy. I remember how you left us surprised the first time you hunted because of how good you were, I remember how you won the spelling bee at your school. Those are the memories you should remember, you’ve helped us both so much and I hate that you think your bad luck.”
“Thank you Sammy, I love you both.” You said wiping away your final tears.
“Hey, what do you say if tomorrow morning I’ll make you your favourite breakfast. We can do whatever you want.” Sammy asked you lovingly.
“Yeah, that sounds good. But right now, I need my coffee” You said and you all laughed and got up ready to continue your day, your lives.
