Dedicated in 1755, #missionconcepcion appears very much as it did over two centuries ago. It stands proudly as the oldest unrestored stone church in America today and it is still an active Catholic Parish, masses and other services are regularly available. When originally built, brightly painted frescos decorated both the exterior and interior of the building. #tbt In 2013 the World Science Fiction Convention was in San Antonio Texas. In addition to the convention I did a few days touristing. I met up with my friend Brooke (hey Brooke? You rock!), visited a gun range where I spent time with a 9mm and didn't do too badly, and also took a bike ride along San Antonio's historic Mission Trail.
