Sankisa Tour - Sankisa is located in Farrukhabad district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is stated that Lord Buddha descended after giving sermons to his mother in heaven and at spot of descent stands a temple with a statue of Buddha. Sankassa is famous for a temple devoted to Bisari Devi and an Ashokan Elephant Pillar. Sankasya was an ancient city in India and came into prominence at time of Gautama Buddha's Mahaparinirvana, great King Ashoka developed this place and built a Pillars of Ashoka here.
