#009: Sapross

While all their relatives photosynthesize, Sapross goes against the grain and requires no sunlight at all! Instead opting to eat dead leaves and other yummy organic matter scattered on the dark forest floor! No matter how dense the foliage, you'll be able to see stars glowing wherever Sapross dwell, as their flowers shine to atract pollinators!

Inspired by Sciaphila albescens! A Saprophyte plant!

This is a redesign of one of my earliest creatures! Making for one of the biggest glowup among them in my humble opinion ==:)

#009: Sapross

These tongue-bearing plants can be found on dark, mushy jungle undergrowths where damp leaves are in excess. They don't need sunlight whatsoever! Just feeding on dead leaves is enough for them! When the moon shines at night, Sapross’s flowers give off a faint glow, illuminating the otherwise shrouded jungles.

They are based off Sciaphila albescens! A plant that grows no leaves at all and doesn’t photosynthesize! They just get by by eating dead leaves!!! They’re wonderful! A saprophagous plant!
