The sun stayed out all day and our two sides took home both pieces of hardware! Followed by a beautiful dinner and awards ceremony for a couple of the best collegiate rugby players in the country at @thewacseattle. Every Saturday before I step onto the pitch, I take a deep breath because I know that all of my worries no longer exits. The bills, the money, relationships, insecurities, my flaws, my pain and anything else just vanishes. When my cleats hit the grass I know that in that moment I am home and I am safe. I realize that there are many risks at hand but I also know I'm going to gain so much more. I know I am there for a reason and that reason is to be there for my girls and to back them up as they will for me. Every hit, every tackle, every ruck, every scrum, and every kick we make count Til the very end. Giving your all within those 80 minutes means everything. Even when you're tired or winded or injured you don't stop. You don't stop because you can't. Because We all want that sweet victory and to know all of our hard work has finally paid off. This sport is not just a sport for me. It's an addiction. I am addicted to the adrenaline rush at the first kickoff, the pressure that is put on everyone's shoulders to make their tackles and get to the rucks, the endurance to push yourself beyond limits you didn't know existed and most importantly the relationships built throughout meeting so many people that share the same love for this incredible game. I am so honored to be a part of such an amazing organization and to have found the best team a person could ask for. Today we all came together to get the job done and ladies, we did it.
