It's so frustrating as a Christian to hear people say things like "I'm a Christian, but I believe Jesus was just a good teacher/the Bible isn't entirely accurate/there might be multiple Gods" etc etc.
Christianity/being a Christian has an explicit definition, defined by the Creator. It's not just going to church every once in a while and believing that "there is a God" or "we should treat others well". Those things are all relative, and the vast majority of the world would fall under that category. Using the term "Christian" to just be synonymous with "good" severely waters down the term to the point where it means nothing.
Being a Christian is being a follower of Christ. It's believing that Jesus is God in the flesh. It's believing that sin is a very real and actual thing that separates us from God. It's believing that the God who created the world and everything in it defines the terms of reality. It's believing that we all deserve separation from God due to our unworthiness and explicit rejection of Him, but that He loved us so much that He took on all of our sin and unworthiness and died in our place so as to make the path open for us mortals to be with Him for all eternity. It's believing all of these things and placing our trust in them, then choosing to live our life according to His principles.
Christianity MEANS something.
