Hey everyone! Here’s a pic of my #currentread and #drawingwip ! Current read: Specials, Scott Westerfield. While the first book in this series was a total flop for me, I’m really enjoying Specials as well as Pretties! In book one I felt like everyone was talking about Tally like she was someone special and different, when to me she felt boring and flat. Plus the romance with David was 🤮 I didn’t get to know his character at all before they were suddenly ‘in love’. While the romance is still a bit sketchy and out of place, I feel like Tally’s character has finally grown to be the person that everyone saw her as in the first book. I can’t wait to see how the series ends. And my drawing WIP is a snow leopard. This book was fantastical. Is there a sequel? I'm thinking, no. It was one of the few books I've read in the not so distant past that absolutely sucked me in. Forget pretties, uglies, Etc. Afterworlds it's in a league of its own. This, I found in the copy of “The Uglies” that I have, By Scott Westerfield (which I reviewed in my last post.) and after picking the poem apart, I learned it’s meaning and it is deep and beautiful as it is “Beauty”

The Uglies by Scott Westerfield  Book review

So I actually stole my copy of the book out of a teacher’s classroom prior to school ending for the summer. I actually got into the book, it’s interesting and exciting and as the story started piecing the puzzle together as I read it has deep meaning. For me, I didn’t guess what was going to happen before it did in the book and that’s always good. I am going to continue on and read book 2 of the series called ‘The Pretties’. I’m exciting, and anticipating finding out what happens to Tally!
