Summary: The arrival of SCP-9718 has introduced anomalies that extend beyond his known abilities. Though O5 authorization permits ongoing study, the subject’s influence over staff, his volatile temperament, and the peculiar attachment to certain personnel remain poorly understood.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9718 is to be contained in a thermally regulated cell at Site-██. The chamber is maintained at subambient temperatures (~10°C) to suppress pyrogenic activity, reflecting observed subject preference for cooler, Autumn-like conditions. Direct interaction is restricted to Level 3 personnel and above.
SCP-9718 demonstrates markedly reduced hostility and anomalous activity during observation periods conducted by Dr. A. ██████. Accordingly, O5 directive authorizes daily supervised sessions (minimum three hours) between SCP-9718 and Dr. A. ██████. In the event of Dr. A. ██████’s absence, SCP-9718 must be notified by the researcher personally to prevent escalation (see Incident Log 9718-4).
Security staff entering the containment chamber are required to wear flame-retardant protective gear. Efforts to maintain SCP-9718’s control over its abilities without the involvement of Dr. A. ██████ have consistently failed.
