thanks to winter storm jayden, i haven’t had class at all this week, and they already cancelled tomorrow’s classes, and i’m stuck in my apartment with nothing to do (i wish i brought my 3ds with me so i could play animal crossing or something tbh) so, i thought i’d do some blogrates! it’s been awhile since i’ve done these xx

um sorry im not trying to be rude but you cant id with asian characters if ur not asian and the word synpath is kinda racist bcus its just a word ppl use to get away with identifying with characters outside their race,,, again sorry

ah, i’m not really sure how to answer this!! but i don’t think ur being rude. i’m not sure where i stand with ids or kin, but if i did id with a character, i would id with them purely for personality, i wouldn’t claim to be their race or understand the experiences of their race (plus, i have enough of a disadvantage already being poc).as far as synpath goes, i dont see how its racist?? from what i’ve read, a synpath is a person, object, or concept one identifies strongly with while maintaining an identity apart from it. it’s basically just saying, “i really relate to this character, but i dont identity as them!” which i don’t see being racist at all. when has simply relating to and/or liking a character ever been racist??again, i dont think ur being rude, but i dont think i agree with u either,, sorry if this bothers u (^^ゞ
