pertaining to Seraphina's gender identity

in hindsight, not very sure why I decided making Seraphina trans was a good idea at all. I remember at the time of initially creating her that I was on and off about the thought; I wanted to make more queer characters bc I wanted there to be more characters like myself and my friends out there, though there was that part of me worried about how it might read due to the nature of her character. however, now that it's been a while and I've changed a bit as both a creative and a person overall, I don't believe this was the place for me to have gone through with the decision.

I always wanted to be mindful of how I went about handling sensitive topics, e.g. sexual abuse, especially when going about writing perpetrators such as Seraphina and Seamus. when I made Seraphina, I can still say that I did Not mean it like that, but I think that at a certain point what I originally intended no longer matters. intention is easily lost to the reader, but the impact of my writing decisions still remains. it doesn't matter whether I didn't intend on contributing to negative stereotypes trans women need to deal with; I contributed anyways. the fact I was so blind to the harm this would've done if I wrote a finished story for Seraphina makes me ashamed.

so, with the reasons listed above this is all to say that I will be doing a bit of rewriting for Sera. I initially intended for her to be cisgender and that's the decision I will be going back to. that, and I will be toning a few things down, probably. I found some of my older writing decisions to frankly be distasteful and that simply isn't the kind of writer I am anymore. consider this a proper separation from the hellcrew once and for all, and whatnot.

One night you and your friends went to this show

It was meant to be an ad for something but y'all didn't care

Any hellcrew headcanons ?

Hello, hope you're doing well ^^

Here are a few of my hellcrew headcanons:

・Sera, Kelly, and Seamus are cannibals. It just feels right to me

・Killian talks and moves in his sleep. That includes punching 😭. Julius has definitely gotten punched on by him in his sleep on multiple occasions

・since Devlin is right-handed Cian usually holds his left hand. His left hand is a bit deformed from how many times Cians broken his hand by holding it too hard

・Sera and Duvessa will go around doing the most horrendous shit ever and use the excuse "but I'm just a girl 🤗"

・The only people other than Killian that Julius will let see him with no make-up or "imperfectly" are Octavian and Devlin

・Vivi was really scruffy until Sullivan came along and helped him

・Luciens room is infested with all kinds of bugs or even rats. It smells RANCID down there. He reminds me of Renfield from Dracula a bit

・One of Seamus' hobbies is collecting and preserving animals (and people) he has a huge collection of all kinds of stuff and he's also helped Octavian preserve some of his hearts

pastas thought on my little lamb?

I really hope we both have the same character in mind, if not sorry! (Little lamb as Julius' assistant?)

First things first I'd start with the hell crew characters:

Julius is an evil being as we all know but in this case I really do believe that he at best tolerates Lamb because she's a great benefit for him - wool shaving :(. So as far as she gives him benefits, he's in okay terms with her.

Killian is the type of person where you honestly never know. He finds her rather cute and lovely. Probably doesn't care much as long as Julius' happy.

Octavian is someone who's chill with Lamb and actually one of the few nice ones in hell crew. They'll chat sometimes and I like to think that he's honestly the one giving Lamb brainrot lol. I can see him messing with her head with his horrible grammar and Julius being quite miserable because of that.

Kelly is a mess lol. But he treats her as nice as he can. He doesn't talk to her often and it's just a little checkup with the most said phrases like "how are you" and "aight bye" immediately after.

Seraphina my gorgeous, gorgeous ladyyyyy!! I feel like these two would get along well and both being excited about another woman in the building. Sera is nice to Lamb and likes to talk to her. They definitely gossip over tea.

Cian is probably too busy by the thoughts of his father or his man Devlin. So they don't really talk to each other mainly because Cian doesn't really care. But I feel like if something were to happen to Lamb his inner dad instincts would kick in.

Devlin is okay with Lamb and treats her with respect. He definitely likes how fluffy she is and when he walks past her, he gives her a quick pat.

Seamus is nice to Lamb and loves to take photos of her. He says she's "unique". Definitely yaps about birds a lot around her, especially pigeons.

If you have any questions, I will definitely welcome more! Also I'm quite new around hell crew characters, so I'm sorry if it disappoints, this is how I view them so far. This was fun!

You must know since my come out ( as transman) its very intresting so gender identitys and that oll.

No, you misunderstanding, I love food! However I have no tolerance for westerners reducing my heritage and culture to nothing more than cuisine! 🤗

I know from a very young age that I was not either a boy or girl. Some days I feel more masculine and other days I feel more feminine - but I never have felt like a man or a woman. There was no big moment of figuring this all out, but rather just the way I always felt.

My birth year is 1872, so you must keep in mind that for most of my life, the term non-binary didn't exist in the manner it does today, and neither did the perception of nonbinary people exist even in the LGBTQ+ the way it does today. Educating people about queer history is not my job and I am not interested nor qualified in doing so regardless. Simply keep in mind that my coming out was very different back when I did in the late 1920s.

The Hellcrew did not really have any reactions, honestly. Everyone already knew I was bisexual, none of them are straight themselves. I am not alone in the Hellcrew as nonbinary, @kellyduffy is also nonbinary.
