SSSERIEMA SHADING! hi @kikikakapo :3 hey :333 pls ask me specific stuff if you want this is just a little run down of my process with one of the examples i hope its legible :333
its been a while since ive done smth big and experimental for funsies so i made a horribly incomprehensible explanation of my process during it :3 i had a little too much fun. if anyone wants further clarification/elaboration i can do that (i hope the letters are big enough to read)
is there any way you can show how you draw bird feet/hands like you do on grian? i think it’s super cool but i have difficulty drawing something similar :(
ANYTHING 4 U
THIS WAS MEANT TO BE SMALLER THAN IT ENDED UP but uhhhh yeah!!! here's how i do that!!! disclaimer that im not an expert and this is just my process and you can take from it whatever you want etc etc bird peets! they're cool!
hiya! might be an odd request, but do you have any tips/ideas on how to draw a character with bird legs in a skirt? i have an avian dnd character and i'm struggling lmao. also a big big fan of ur art in general !!! :)
THANK YOU!!! i apologize in advance because im terrible at explaining but i did a little exploration of this!!!
ok so im gonna say im Not the best at drawing skirts cuz i usually just dont draw them. and the way i draw birdie legs is thick. because birds. but yeah uhm! what id recommend is drawing the legs first, figure out how the skirt flows next, and draw it over them. it just makes the process easier for me because i dont have to fit the legs around the skirt and also you get more movement. i also like putting short shorts on characters with skirts because i just feel like it gives me more freedom to play with poses? have fun!!! idk if this helped at all but im happy to answer any questions :]
Do you have any coloring tips like how you picked them or choose them?
im not the best at art tutorials but i hope this is something!!!
other people have explained color theory better than i can, so i recommend looking that up cuz its actually kinda fun, but yea this is my basic process for designs/base colors. my best tip is to go crazy until you like how it looks, there are so many ways to make your colors go funky with layer modes and correction layers!
heres my process for more scenic illustrations :]
thats basically my process in a nutshell :D
haiii i don't know if anyone's asked this already but i was wondering what your process is for making animatics?
im so sorry anon im not the best person to ask this question! ive only done one whole animatic, and it was as much of a learning process as any beginner, lol
i'll leave here my process:
i started out with very basic thumbnails of what my ideas looked like with the lyrics and all:
then i uhmm. i opened a canvas on csp and generated a folder for each scene and then an animation timeline (to play my progress as i go) and i started sketching
after sketching, i didnt really wanna edit, so i played my progress with the song in the bg to visualize a more developed Thing (this is the unlisted video i shared to a couple friends)
(cut to +30 hours of me doing the lineart for each of the frames)
well. i did the lineart for each of the frames, exported them all into a folder, and then opened davinci resolve. i then slapped all the frames on there and started trying to fit them into the rhythm of the song
i remember having trouble with the lyrics, because if i wanted them to flow separate from the images on the screen, id have to do them again but in a separate layer, and export all those layers again, which i didnt wanna bother doing, and my laptop didnt like it when i tried (it is a piece of junk)
so i edited the thing. and then i posted it and then i won
i realize this may not be the most in-depth explanation ever, and im sure theres ways to do this more effectively (and a LOT more cool things you can do w/ editing, i basically just slapped a bunch of images next to each other), but in my defense i dont have a lot of experience making animatics lmfao
still!! thank you for the ask anon!!!!
