WHY, aside from misogyny, do we refer to the (Harry Potter) magical world as the ‘wizarding world’ if wizards are referred as exclusive to a gender?

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry makes it sound like witchcraft and wizardry are different arts, but it’s treated like it actually just means Hogwarts School for Magic-Wielding Girls and Magic-Wielding Boys. I’m not surprised because jkr wrote it, but I thought we’d divorced her. Shouldn’t it be settled by now?

Wizardry ≠ art of magic for boys

They are different practices, they’re not gendered roles. They teach witchcraft AND wizardry (pretty sure Potions comes under witchcraft, Transfiguration under wizardry) so why are we still referring to magic-wielding girls as witches and magic-wielding boys as wizards? They’re not. That’s jkr’s mistake. Divorce. Separation. Settlement. Exorcise her from it. Graduated students of schools for magic are qualified in witchcraft and wizardry. It’s not gendered.

Gender isn’t different for magic people. If it were, there would only be two and that just doesn’t make sense. Again: this is jkr’s mistake and her views don’t align with ours so why are we following her transphobic shit if that’s one of our biggest issues with her???

It would be very surprising if I’m the first person to bring this up, so what are the alternatives? It’s always annoyed the shit out of me (PS has like one sentence that gives the impression that they are magical arts, but then she switched to calling them gendered arts but I might have imagined that. At 9 I already had a strong desire to extract answers from her regardless of her expense lol).
