So I was scrolling through Twitter and came across this pic that Bayern posted yesterday after Basti’s testimonial match.

And I’m all, “aww look at all the babies they’re so cute” and I zoom in to see all of them and I came across this gem.

I have been laughing. For 3 hours.

Oh my that was beautiful, danke basti, for every single thing you have done, for every single moment, every single match, every single goal, every single effort, every single assist, every single win, every single loss, every single tear, every single award, every single championship, every single fan moment, for every single memory, and for every single ounce of your existence. 

Saying goodbye to you is very emotional, we your fans could have never thought of or expected a better or a more special farewell, today was a very special day; for many reasons, you gave us the honor of having you as captain of FC Bayern Munich, of wearing the FC Bayern jersey, of seeing number 31 with “Schweinsteiger” on the back, seeing you again in the Allianz Arena, and for giving us the chance to give the farewell tribute you deserve.
