I've been shipping Shanks and Luffy for about five years now. It's only been until recently that the voices have taken over and commanded me to write. So far, I have written 165k+ words. I am very, very serious about this ship and I need everyone to become as demented and ravenous about them as I am.

Slow burn (Novel Length) Fics

Never Intentional - COMPLETED. Smut with too much plot. By far my most creative idea. On their way to Elbaph, the Strawhat Pirates explore a multiverse-bridging island fourteen years in the past. And a twenty-five-year-old Shanks just so happens to be exploring, too.

Patience - IN PROGRESS. Spin off of never intentional. Shanks and Luffy reunite on Elbaph. Luffy's crush on Shanks becomes a problem.

Sunburn - IN PROGRESS. Spin off of never intentional, where a younger Shanks' indifference and coldness toward a young Luffy leads the rubberboy to become a Marine.

Hands to Yourself - IN PROGRESS. As a child, Luffy swore to marry Shanks, his former next-door neighbor and a demon. Due to mysterious circumstances, Luffy has forgotten the promise and Shanks. It's not until his eighteenth birthday that Shanks returns and proposes to him.

Hopefully, I can add more to this list because I have so, so many smutty ideas for Shanks and Luffy that don't require thousands of words to get to the "good" part, but for now, it's just the one!

You know a Shanks/Luffy fic I want to experience/write is one where Luffy is well into his thirties, same age as say Shanks when he decided to go for the one piece. Now the Pirate King, reuniting with Shanks.

And the feelings so different from when he was a child. So much history, so much of ‘we shouldn’t’ on Shanks’ side. While Luffy has loved Shanks in different ways since he was a kid, since he was the Anchor that would only hold Shanks back.

The guilt, the connection. Its all so different now between them. Luffy grew up to be the Pirate King to rival Roger, brought the world together and saved them all. No longer an anchor but freedom itself.

It would be an angsty fic with the usual theme of “A Ship could never love an Anchor”

I'm so so so obsessed with them, Luffy has been in love with Shanks for a DECADE and they are absolutely gonna fuck when they meet again. Does Shanks know this? Probably not!
