@caerula-parma from here:
Monster was a term he was rather used to…it never bothered him in the slightest so when they were spoken towards him, the Senju did not even bat an eye…
What did make him so…was the fact that this young girl, who hardly knows him as it is, was quick to defend him, reprimanding that assailant of their wrongs and politely telling them to leave…
This had the Wolf arching his brow some and once the other was out of the room and he spoke–
“…there was no need for you to go such lengths. What they said was not far from the truth…“
It was the exact truth, but he decided to humor her just some…
But none the less he added, softly-
“ But…you have my thanks. “
As the rather rude man left, Rin let out a breath. She wasn’t the best at confrontations -- even being a kunoichi hadn’t changed that over the years -- and so when they had left with no fuss, she was rather relieved.
Before she could gather her thoughts, however, the ‘monster’ was addressing her, and a smile found it’s way onto her face.
“It costs little to speak your mind,” the brunette said with a small shrug. “Words can cause so much damage, yet it takes so little to really make use of them. I couldn’t just say nothing -- do nothing. No one deserves to be called a monster. We’re all people, and we all have our ways of interacting with the world, for good or for bad.”
She was silent for a moment, before adding, “Why would they say that, though? I don’t mean to pry, just, it seems an odd thing to do, is all.”
