Ahh beans I was about to say Juno and Vespa but you’re not there yet so can I get some Mick Mercury and Rita hcs, because those two are too ... I don’t have a word for it but I suspect they’d cause actual citywide meltdowns
I do not know Vespa yet, but once I get there I’ll be happy to make some hcs of them!! I love that name though, gosh. And thank you for the request!
> Juno went Out Of His Way to make sure Mick Mercury and Rita never met because he just KNEW they’d talk themselves into damn circles and would only get progressively louder and more and more bizarre. Whenever he was forced to go into Old Town, he gave Rita the day off. He couldn’t even think of the consequences of them interacting for a long while.
> Juno, however, is human and messes up. He ended up in Old Town following a lead and got his leg pretty badly banged up. No serious injury, but he definitely couldn’t drive,––hell, he couldn’t even make it to his car––and he definitely wasn’t trusting Mic with the wheel. So… he… begrudgingly called Rita.
> Just as Juno feared, Rita and Mick got along like the Martian desert and the sun in the summer. Mick would recount some great expletive from his and Juno’s youth that was 100% fabricated, and Rita would eat it up as if it were a Thanksgiving turkey. Rita nearly crashed the car three separate times from swerving in her seat to look at Mick to find out if he was shitting her. They dropped Mick off at his place and then dropped Juno off at the hospital after.
> Mick and Rita call a handful of times a week, exchanging gossip and talking about who else but Mister Private Investigator, Juno Steel himself. Mick will tell some larger-than-life story to Rita, who will then gasp loudly and recount a story from one of the many dramas she consumes. Both are equally amazed at what they hear from the other.
> After the events of Juno Steel and the Day That Wouldn’t Die, Mick called Rita fairly regularly just… just to ask how Juno was doing. Was he coping alright? Did he seem any better than when he left Old Town? Had he talked to Rita about anything? No? Okay…
> Mick was the first one Rita called when she had the feeling Juno was missing (I’d say the evening of the day Miasma nabbed him and Nureyev). Both went into panic spirals for like ten minutes before Rita snapped out of it and started asking about places he might have gone.
Headcanon asks are still open! Drop some characters or a ship and I’ll write some headcanons (based off where I am in the series)!
