Drawing A Random MK Character every day until i finish the series roster - Day 43!!!

Shinnok!!

Finally onto our first final boss character! (If we dont count Quan Chi since he was only the final boss alongside Shang Tsung ofc) This one being Shinnok, who was introduced to us in Mortal Kombat Mythologies Sub Zero, and later brought to the mainline through MK4!

Shinnok is always a character who i think is so cool and fascinating in concept, with him being a fallen elder god who is trying to reclaim his hold over earthrealm once and for all! As well as that, him being the only new boss character who was introduced as both the final boss but also a playable roster fighter right from the jump. However, i think that aspect to him is what majorly brings Shinnok’s status down. As he is insanely weak in comparison to his predecessors Shao and Shang, not to mention weaker than both Goro and Kintaro as well!

All that to say i think Shinnok is cool in concept, but kinda lame in execution. I also low-highkey hate his designs. They’re all either really tryhard like mkx, or just really ugly like literally everything else fjsbdjssj!!! This is probably one of my least favorites in the set purely because of those tacky horns and the over abundance of golds in his design. But that is to say i had fun with the process all the same. Random Thoughts:Shinnok!

-I’m pretty sure we aren’t going to get Shinnok as a full elder god (as I’m pretty sure Liu Kang would have made it so he isn’t a god)

-But! What if he is alive in the current Mk timeline as a regular human?

-I could picture him being some sort of priest of Delia, all about light and virtue

-but I also imagine him turning into a bit of a Judge Frollo-type, obsessed with piousness

-in a moment of weakness, he is manipulated by Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, who promise him power

-he obviously isn’t turned into a god, but I could see him learning dark magic as he is tired of serving others. People should serve him in his eyes

Good day! Again, sorry for the long time away and the eternity I took to answer this. But I hope you like it! Thanks for the request.

Shinnok

The elder god pale complexion makes it even more obvious to tell when he is embarrassed. His soft skin welcomes the warmth of the lips of his beloved as he closes his eyes briefly in a passionate sigh at the feeling of their gentle kiss on his cheek. His unholy eyes bless them with a devoted approval, taking their hands and intertwining their fingers, reaching with his own lips to kiss their knuckles.

- Definitely enjoys it more than he would ever admit, it warms his cold heart to have such a simple yet effective caresses. Shinnok's favorite forms of affection are the sweet and pure ones, the concepts of mortal lust are quite alien to him, but the joy of simply holding hands strikes him differently, the innocence of a kiss on the cheek is what makes him somehow 'happy', on his own way.

Quan Chi

A kiss on the cheek caught him off guard, the necromancer had to blink a few times to understand it. His skin is smooth, just like his head. He turns his face to the other side and demands another kiss on that cheek as well, and then on his forehead, on the top of his head, on his lips. Quan Chi's expression is of surprise, like if he is studying what his beloved is doing with him and trying to absorb all the sensations to keep them deeply in his memory.

- Extremely cuddly, he will get easily addicted to little kisses and will try to create situations to make it happen without having to necessarily ask for it. Next time his darling tries to kiss him, he shall trick them and tilt his head, making them touch his cheek instead and do all the process of smooching his face before being allowed to taste his lips.

Fujin

As his beloved kisses his cheek, he is quick to do the same to them, staying in a strange loop of smooching and pecking and smiling until he is satisfied. Fujin grows fond of such a simple gesture, using it as a way to greet his loved one and to comfort them as well. He may use it as a pretext to stretch his neck and offer it to his darling, it is his personal favourite place to be kissed as it makes him tremble in joy.

- Absolutely fond of all the tender ways to show affection, will constantly kiss his significant other cheek when they are close enough, turning it into a habit and sharing about his experiences with Raiden, telling him how he should try it any of these days.

Raiden

Has no idea of what this is supposed to be, gasping and giving a step back as he touches his cheek in confusion, running his fingers around the place he was kissed, as if feeling it again but with his digits. The thunder god is silent, walking a way and saying nothing about it, pretending nothing happened. But the next time he sees his beloved, he shall kiss their cheek gently without further explanation.

- Takes his time to understand the meaning of that, but after a lot of rambling he finds himself enjoying it. Raiden will never talk about it, but he will definitely surprise his beloved with sudden kisses on the cheek when they least expect it, walking away as usual and leaving them with a silly smile.
