This little guy has clearly been shaved down, likely with a ten blade based on the slight pinkness to his skin, though it could have also been a seven blade. Because of this, I have very little to go off of when it comes to coat texture.
To me, without the context of coat texture and growth pattern, I would assume this dog is a shitzu poodle mix. He’s got the round head I would expect of a shitzu, but more of a muzzle than you typically see, which is where I’m pulling the poodle from. His patterning is also reminiscent of a shitzu, though there is also the possibility that this is actually a Pekingese poodle.
Overall, this pup looks relatively healthy, even if a little older. Nails look freshly clipped, and the chosen coat length, while typically due to matting, could be a decision made for quality of life, so no judgement on that front.
