Trying a Seth Godin Post
Seth Godin posted this today and I thought I might become the bean boy and apply it directly to my business. How does Heartfelt tell this story?
1."The individual has to be open to hearing the offer at all."
Everyday at the store I am excited and reinvigorated by what our online presence has brought into the store. I am open. I feel with that openness comes energy and new opportunities. A customer stopped by the other day and said she had moved out of the neighborhood and missed the store so she reads my blog posts everyday. Customers comment all the time on products we feature in our newsletters. A video we posted caused folks to come by and ask for “the pan" again and again. We have so many projects in the works Shoppinpal, a new shopping site, a delivery service. I have fantasies of a vintage panel truck driving around our lovely city with my top ten favorite products with QR codes on them. Purchase on the spot!
2."The person wanting to hear the story has to believe it."
I always speak of the magic spot in the store. That place that hits your soft spot and makes you want to stay for the journey. By changing our display, our inventory and keeping the store uber tidy, we show you that we believe the story. Our place does not remind you of home it reminds you of somewhere you have never been but want to be. Then you want to take something home to remember or experience some aspect of the creativity or practicality.
3. “It has to be true"
Our story is true, through and through.
