Brand new shoulderpad design. Would require force fitting or trimming of the existing shoulder joint but otherwise it’d be a tad bit big.

As you can see after a few weeks this piece on Samus Aran’s suit shoulder pad finally came off. I’ll probably just get some epoxy glue or something.

If you guys think I should try something else with a figma figure instead of epoxy, please tell me. It would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I finally finished Sven! I made the steam punkish eyes into goggles and cut up some doll faces to resemble masks, an idea I had from the initial designs I made for my character. I was thinking of adding more accessories to his outfit like lacing, pouches and little tools, but I thought these would be a pain to animate because they would move around easily. However, I am still very happy with how my puppet looks, a lot of hard work paid off in my mind. My only uncertainty is the googles placing, I pinned them for now so I could change them if I felt they would look better somewhere else. For now, I’m going to leave him as he is and ask for my tutor’s critiques when I get back to Norwich. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed making my puppet from scratch, and spending time on making him look as close to my design as possible. It’s amazing to see Sven come to life, and I’m considering pursuing a career in puppet/model making in Stop Motion animation because I adored it so much. The most useful skills I have learnt in this process are the ability to make an armature and the problem solving I had to do to achieve my design.
