Imagine how painful it would be to be rejected for your darkness. How painful it would be your friend/lover leaving you because they saw something dark in you, something they didn't like—

🧪 Where does the mutagen come from?

more specifically, shredder.

so, I'm not sure if I've really properly mentioned this before but shredder is a massive nerd, he met yoshi (splinter) in college, in unspecified nerd college tm.

sagi met yoshi and renet at college, renet majoring in theoretical physics and multidimensional travel and stuff like that, yoshi in biology and the behavior of animals, and sagi in biology and chemistry.

then one day, while experimenting, sagi created the first batch of mutegen.

now, after having made 9 mutants and a few more left forgotten, shredder leads the foot clan, studying not just mutegen anymore, yes they still study mutegen but shredder realised the misery and effect mutegen truly has after the 7th and 8th mutants made by his hand.

I should also clarify that not all "mutants" are made from mutegen, some are natural, like usagi, alopex, and Mona Lisa! I usually separate the difference by mutants (mutegen made) and yokais (birthed like this) but sometimes I use them interchangably :)

🧫 Were your turtles mutated intentionally or on accident?

uuuhhhhhhhh it's complicated

so, shredder made the mutegen and he mutated the turtles.

he intentionally mutated the turtles, however it was more of an experiment than a plan, and he later regreted it just a little bit.

splinter mutating was an accident though.

one thing I want to highlight is (particularly after the mutation) shredder sees the turtles as his children almost (subtle foreshadowing time :])

yes!!!! yes they do!!!!

leo has a pet snake :)

and raph has a pet human (Casey) /j

also I want to add klunk the cat so so so bad because kitty :] but I dunno how to add them

oh!!! ice cream kitty exists by the way, she's a yokai, she wasn't made of ice cream but she sold ice cream, she's not really a major character, she's more of a plot device/reference.

but she's either tokka, rahzar, and leatherheads child,

tang shens child,

or splinter and shredder's (and maybe renet's) kid (SHREDSPLIT SHIPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I'm leaning towards tang shen's kid or something of the like, but that might end up being miwa.

probably not, but also maybe.

if he does end up being included he'll either be with the purple dragons or the TGRI, but I might change my mind lol :P

so don't expect him, but don't be too incredibly surprised if he appears.

🩹 Who is the Medic?

but I know that isn't exactly what you wanted, so if the injury isn't so intensely bad usually either Casey, Donnie, or April is the medic.

but splinter is mainly the one taking care of them all, there's this one scene where Mikey is hurt pretty badly and they need to take him to splinter because Casey and Donnie aren't very good doctors lol.

so, for this I should clarify that I project on my characters a lot and I don't enjoy strict labels (I identify as literally everything, I love contradicting labels) and whether I projected on them or not, labels aren't the biggest concern for me so I have difficulty figuring this stuff out.

but basically, Leo is a teensy bit gender fluid, and he's sorta gay with some exceptions but the biggest exception is the weirdest situation ship sort of "do I want to kissyou or do I want to be you"/"do I love you or do I love that you love me"/"do I love you are do I just think you deserve better?"/"do I love you or do I just enjoy the novelty of the idea of loving you?" anyways he figures it out, the answer is all of the above but also none of the above. he might be on the aroace spectrum and also is mostly gay

oh and I didn't want to say this bcs spoilers but I don't care but "the biggest exception" is April. situationship/friendship(?)/QPR/crushing/romantic/"it's complicated" aprilnardo, let's gooooo

and Donnie, Donnie is straight.

for basically every other chraracter assume either "it's complicated" or "I haven't thought about it yet"

also look! I learnt from my mistakes and didn't stress myself out and ended up finishing even faster anyways!

2012 TMNT But Its One-sided Demolition Crew (Shredded and Splintered)

So what if. Instead of Saki being obsessed with Tang Shen, he was actually in love with Yoshi. And goes that night to take him away from the clan and his arranged marriage and all that nonsense.

Yoshi is all, "We're brothers dude, not cool." And Saki's, "Nah it's fine bro, I'm adopted." Yoshi like, "No seriously, no homo."

And so they fight, and Shen gets knocked out/dies (Somehow.) and starts a fire when she does.

Yoshi fights Saki off, knocking him out; then runs off taking Miwa outside to safety, then runs back in to get Saki and Shen. He drags Saki out the front door and then goes back in to get Shen, having to fight the blaze to get to her now, extremely dead body. (Rip Shen)

Saki wakes, and hears Miwa crying outback running around the house to save her, just seconds before Yoshi drags Shen's body outfront where he was.

The house collapses just as Saki finds Miwa, and believing his brother is dead and Miwa is all that's left of him, Saki spirits the baby off into the night.

He later finds out Yoshi survived the blaze, buried Shen and then disappeared, and so his long search begins.

Skip ahead 15 years and Saki hears rumors of some "Mutant Ninja Turtles" in America who have a very foot clan-esque style, and he's immediately intrigued. (And desperate for any lead at this point.)

He finds out Yoshi got mutated into a giant fancy rat, and adopted four turtle tots. (Cause of course he freaking did, just make our lives more complicated why don't you Yosh…)

And so then the whole series is Saki trying to capture and woo, and unmutate Yoshi, and the turtle tots just being like "Hell no you are not dating our father, you monster."

90% of the problems (or at least some problems) of some shows/movies would have been solved if the two love rivals decided to be together instead of arguing or decided to have a poly relationship with the person they liked.
