it is so funny how sometimes g comes up when i just talk to people in the fandom and when she does it is always like lead to a convo of just wow yeah g is fucking great. and like i need g to know how much people just like adore her and like that she had us all just simping. I legit think that she makes this fandom. not only bc she has been her for so long but also just bc she is so fucking welcoming. granted it as been a fucking hot minute since i was new myself. but i also just think something about her as whole makes you just feel welcomed away even if you aren't new. if anyone wants to my to ever rec people from the hp fandom at the top of that fucking list would be g. like g would for me be on any list about who tumblr is just not the same without. she will always be one of the first people i follow on any blog.

g's reg is amazing, like idk who would just like be able to like read one post and not see the care that has gone into it and the understanding she has of him is just it is such a true pleasure to be able to see. like i could read g's hc over and over again like i just adore them so much. but i also feel like i can't even beginning to explain how wonderful her regulus is bc i feel like i just wash him down and that like the best way to experience him will always be to just follow g and be ready for just to be like star struck.

on a personal level i adore g. like i just do. like writing this post made me do fuck i miss g and go and write her on discord bc i am a simp. i mean missing g has legit been what brought me back after like being like gone for like a year from tumblr rping like the power g has over me is slightly worrying and if she did use it for evil... tbh i let her. and i have if you want as evident by our wedding photo. i mean ignore we where younger then and we did look a bit different but it is us still <3

this is why no one loves you, he says, and with his words, he brings her nightmares and many anxieties to life. udyati says nothing. how can she, when his words have knocked the very air out of her lungs?

she wants to scream, wants to scrape the words out of his mouth with her fingernails. but then again, what if he's right? no. no, he can't be right. he is a lot of things - horrible, terrible, awful and just plain wrong - but he is not right. or is he...?

his energy signature feels distinctly uncomfortable so very close to her own. it feels like the twist of a rusty knife that she can't defend herself against.

but she has to. otherwise he will do it again, and again, and again. if not to her, then to someone else. and that's just unacceptable. so udyati swallows audibly, breathes in and out, and falls into the horse pose.

feet apart, udyati gently leans forward just a bit. her right hand rests above her chest, causing her elbow to jut out in front of her, as if she’s about to jab it into his eye; her left hand rests underneath her chest, and that elbow is jutted out too.

then, she opens her right palm, and lets it arc through the air, like a snake, coiled and ready to strike. and strike she does. her stance shifts from her left feet to her right and her right palm strikes him like lightning.

she lets the momentum of the hit carry her forward, aiming to kick his legs out from underneath him; she would sooner see him kiss the ground than admit his words have burrowed underneath her skin.

"you don't know me!" udyati spits out the words. "you don't get to make assumptions like that!"

                   fear rests on the collarbones, retreating from steady hands. precision at its finest, each motion, each ingredient so carefully treated and added without question, nearly without thought. the potion turns quickly from red to a far more festive orange. she doesn’t understand the festivities, but potions don’t require an understanding. there are those who would enjoy the spectacle of having their head turned into a pumpkin, but her thoughts are far from that. the fear that rests on her collarbone is crowned with bisected foxglove, undetectable under robes. she had been quite careful to make sure no one saw when it slipped into her palm, the carelessness of a gryffindor to her right in retrieving too many ingredients made things too easy. she isn’t far from it now. november, perhaps ? it seems as good a time as any, and while she could make due simply with the supplies of a basic potions kit, it seems prudent to make sure things are done correctly the first time. hopefully, the only time.

               she steps back from her complete potion, folds her hands respectfully, and waits. patiently. always so patient and placid, because unlike her sweating classmates who fumble and shake, her fear rests on her collarbones, and the cure lies in a carefully curated box beneath her bed. as quiet and as anonymous as her own presence, but perhaps a bit more steady. class is almost over, and she’s already planning on the best path of retreat to her room. to lay a crown of foxglove over the rest. one step closer. for a moment, she almost forgets how to breathe.
