Rhaegar Targaryen, The Last Dragon, and Prince of Dragonstone.

"Rhaegar had a plan, but Aerys ruined it." But what was his plan exactly?

I've gathered that at some point he figured out he wasn't "The Prince That Was Promised," but that it was going to be the next generation. And that for some reason, there needed to be 3 Targaryens to serve as this Prince. It also seems clear that Elia was unable to safely carry another child after Aegons' birth. So if Rhaegar believed that his children needed to be the Promised, I understand the need to take another wife/lover.

What I don't understand, is why Lyanna? Even if he loved Lyanna, and she loved him. Even if Elia approved of their union, smoothing over Lyanna's issue with infidelity. Why did they elope without telling the Starks? Why did they make it look like a kidnapping? If Lyanna and Rhaegar were in on it together, they could have prevented the deaths of Brandon and Rickard Stark.

Also, why did he only save Aegon? He made certain to rescue his son, but unless Rhaenys is off with another one of Rhaegars friends, he left his wife and daughter to the mercy of the Mad King, and later the Lannisters.

There's also some less kind interpretations of Rhaegar, that his kidnapping of Lyanna was not consensual. This pokes some holes in Jon Snows origin as Lyanna's child, though far from makes the theory void. While many victims of sexual violence are justifiably unable to love the children resulting from the assault, some still maintain strong parental affection. As such, I could still see Lyanna asking her brother to claim her child as his to protect him from Robert.

Making Lyanna Stark a victim of sexual violence, and one of the few noble knights in the series the perpetrator, isn't very appealing to me. I prefer to believe that Rhaegar was flawed, and he failed to think of the consequences of eloping with Lyanna. And maybe he tried to move Rhenys and Elia. But a toddler is harder to replace than a baby, and a bedridden woman even more so. At the end of the day, Rhaegar was far from the perfect knight of Ser Selmy's memory, or the monster of King Robert's.

The Silver Prince; ruler of the Skullstone Archipelago and one of the thirteen Deathlords.

My take on this character from the Exalted canon, he’s a major antagonist in the campaign I’m currently running! My version of Skullstone takes a lot of cultural cues from Mexico, which is why his design has those elements in it. The diving-suit aspect is to tie in his silver armor with something appropriate for a nautical deathlord.

He is a Cool and Chill guy :)

𝕳𝖊𝖆𝖉𝖈𝖆𝖓𝖔𝖓 : Barristan Selmy was a big influence in Rhaegar’s life. The young prince considered Barristan the Bold to be his biggest influence and even father figure, he loved him as a son should love a father, and Barristan loved Rhaegar like a son, that is why his death was such a heavy burden on Barristan’s heart, when Rhaegar died, Barristan lost the man/boy he saw as his son.

What if everything turned out well? If Rhaegar, Elia, Lyanna, Rhaenys, and Aegon were alive, would it really be good? Would the war of the Seven Kingdoms take place and other factors would have caused it?
