Alright Crossing Jordan / Kathryn Hahn fans! I haven’t written fic (or posted it anywhere) since like 2016, so please take it easy on me.
This is just a small teaser from what I started on this evening. If there’s any interest in me keeping it going, PLEASE let me know. I think I might chicken out if I write it just for me. And between this and some other little episode tag plot bunnies in my head, I have to do something.
No working title (literally started it earlier tonight) and not gonna reveal anything, other than that it’s obviously Lily / Garret, and it’s an episode tag to 4x20 “Forget Me Not.” I’m not sure on ratings yet - maybe it’s soft romance or maybe it’s soft smut, not sure.
Shout out to @fruityhahn for the Kathryn Hahn CroJo clips, cause I save them on my phone and I now have a bunch of cute Lily and Garret moments to watch when I’m sad. You’re the best!! 🤩
And a HUGE shoutout to @silversword7000 who gave me the confidence to even attempt at writing again. If I finish this (and post), it’s because of you! 💕

The folded paper felt warm in her hand. He’d taken it out of his blazer pocket right next to his heart a small voice whispered in the back of her mind. She tried to push the voice away. What good had his heart been to her before? He made his choices. His ex-wife, then Walcott. It wasn’t fair of him to do this now.
But he was looking at her - really looking at her - and his eyes were softer, less guarded. More of the Garret she saw three years ago.
“Read it,” and the soft command in his voice made Lily’s insides flutter. She took a shaky breath and unfolded the piece of paper.
