I really want to hear your opinion about Kate Bishop

Same as Clint's, really.

No, but really now. I love what Hailee and the writers are doing with Kate. It's amazing. She's... just how I pictured her, really. When they announced they're doing the show, this is what I pictured, and I love it.

I love that she's a young, spoiled brat, that doesn't know anything about the world of superheroes, but desperately wants to be a part of it.

I love that she's a strong young woman, very capable in her skills (arrows, fighting, tactical etc.), but that still has a lot to learn.

I love her fangirling, but I also love the fact that when she's with Clint, she can pull herself together and have a normal conversation with him.

I love the jokes, and the snark. I love the rapport she has with Clint, when they're walking down the street and talking, when they're at their two person Christmas party, when they're fighting on the roof.

I love that it took them four episodes to get to this level of angst.

In the comics, it took 11 issues for this to happen. Kate left Clint, because she didn't agree with a (bad and stupid) decision he made. Really different story than the tv show, yeah.

I like this level of angst, though. Clint is pushing Kate away because he wants to keep her safe. And Kate will stubbornly not do that. It's... It's a very good definition of their relationship, really, and I love it.

I love that she's soft. She loves Pizza Dog, she immediately took him in after she saved his life. She gets really soft when she sees Clint talking to baby Nate. She wants her mom to be happy, even if it is with this jerk she doesn't like. She wants to get Clint back to his family for Christmas, and she wants to bring up his morale until then.

She cares. She wants to help people. She cares about Clint.

She's funny. She's strong. She's drop dead gorgeous. She has great millennial fashion sense. She's awkward. She's overly excited.

What's not to love? Really now. She is perfect.

But more than that... Kate Bishop, in the Hawkeye tv series... she has so much potential for good things to come. Her character can go on to do so much in the mcu. Be it more tv, or more movies, be it leading the Young Avengers or making a training facility for future Hawkeyes after Clint really retires... I'm really excited to have Kate Bishop in the mcu.

And right now? I love her and I'm really happy to get to know her.

Are you ok, I heard Romania is in quite the pickle with Covid at the moment? 😭

YEAH we're in deep shit.

We have a really low vaccination rate, and Delta is a lot easier to transmit, and people who are vaccinated or who have had it, they're getting it too.

There were 300 deaths in the last 24h and 11000 new cases. And it's a weekend, the numbers are always low on weekends.

They're trying to get more people vaccinated. They're giving a day off work when you get vaccinated, and there's a lottery for the ones who get vaccinated now, with ridiculously high prizes.

And we have restrictions right now, for people that are not vaccinated.

It's not working. Romania is in so big of a pickle, it's more like the pickle is the canape at the entry to Hell.

I got my third shot, but... I went to the cinema on Friday. Only vaccinated people, at max 50% capacity... and I'm still paranoid and thinking about doing a test in a couple of days.

I feel like Jeremy Jordan is so underrated, on many levels.

He’s actually a good actor, and he has an amazing singing voice. And he seems to be like a pretty damn decent human being, too.

I love him, but I’ll admit I should probably watch more of him. And listen to more of his stuff.

I’ve seen Newsies, it was very cool. I recommend it for a chill evening.

Help I don't know how I feel about the Kate Bishop cast in the Hawkeye series!!! And also.... I don't know if I'm imagining it because I really want it but it looks like Jeremy Renner has what appear to be hearing aids in his ears in the on set photos!!!! GIVE ME DEAF CLINT PLEASE

I’m okay with that, to be honest. She was fairly good in Bumblebee, I don’t think I’ve seen her in everything else. I think she’s going to do good enough, and I think that, as the show goes on, she’s going to learn from Jeremy and the rest of the cast, and she’ll get better with time.

And yeah, it sure looks like Clint’s got something in his ears.

Now... let me tell you my thoughts throughout the day

Clint looks stressed, which means some pretty good comic characterisation, right there hehe.

She’s wearing purple! Again, good comic characterisation. It also looks like she was lounging around the house and grabbed a coat and put on shoes in a hurry. I can’t wait to see other outfits, cause they’re gonna be purple, and modern, cool, hip, millennial fashion, and I’m gonna love em.

Kate is carrying the bow, and the dog, and Clint just has a backpack on... That’s not very polite, mah dude.

The bow. That’s her bow. I mean, Clint’s bows are more high-tech, they’ve always been more high-tech than that, ever since the first Thor movie.

Clint is not wearing a wedding ring. So is this... gonna be before Endgame? What... what’s the timeline here??? I’m dying to know.

And. The most important thing. The thing that is the absolute most important thing to me, in this show. PIZZA DOG! LUCKY! Y E S.

Also. Imma be honest with you.

If you’ve been here awhile (which, considering you decided to ask me, I’m gonna assume you are), you know that I do ship Kate and Clint, ever since reading the comics.

I don’t think that’s gonna happen in the show. I... there are a lot of years between them, and I know that’s true in the comics, as well, but I think Clint is younger in the comics that Renner is.

Does that make me.... I mean. It’s bad. I know. I mean. Shipping them in the comics is a little weird. I’m always a little conflicted about it. A little. Cause of age.

So yeaaah, I don’t think I’m gonna be able to ship it in the show.

I won’t judge, at all!, people that will. Also, I might bite my words after a few episodes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

... Hi. My name is Sim, the Hawkeye comics are, pretty much, the only ones I’ve read, and I’ve read the Fraction&Aja run like 3 times. I’m very excited about the series. And I’m going to be very happy about it. Even if it’s gonna be horrible, even if it’s gonna make me cry... I’m going to be so very futzing happy about it.

I really like that we basically have ZERO knowledge of what the plot is going to be other than it's set in 2025 so after Endgame. My biggest screeching excited fan girl moment was over DEAF CLINT and LUCKY THE PIZZA DOG. Crossing my fingers for the show Clint to be just as much of a human disaster as comics Clint. And for the Bond he has with Kate (shipping or otherwise both cool with me) to be properly developed ahhhhhhh I can't WAIT

I DIDN’T KNOW IT WAS GONNA BE SET SO LATE! 

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinteresting. How is that gonna go down? How is Clint gonna be so late after Endgame? A lot can happen in so many years! I’m intrigued.

Gosh. His kid, what’s her name... Lila. Lila is gonna be the same age as Kate. Oh lordy.

I can’t wait for the sass. For the stupid jokes, and teasing, and Clint being a dumbdumb and Kate being a dumbdumb too. Both of them covered in scrapes, bruises and bandages. Gosh, I’m so excited.

And yeah, I’m very excited to just... see them. Side by side. Being the disaster Hawkeyes we love.

In the comments of that post, @bubbleslayer mentioned they were excited about Barney. And gods, yeah, so am I. I am so excited to cry over them.

I have a thing for siblings. I’m very invested in them, always. And this is a bad one, I know it. I can’t wait to get hurt by it.
