Finally! I did my own version of Kopa--the forgotten Prince of the Pridelands! I along with the Lion King fanbase did not care that he was a carbon copy of Simba so I tried to make him look a little bit more like Nala, but with Simba's mane. What's his character like? Not a clue. I just wanted to draw what he would look like in my head, I'll deal with who he is later.
The Lion Guard
Okay, so I'm not sure how many people have already heard about this. But Disney/ Disney Jr has announced a new tv movie/ series about.... wait for it... Simba's son.
I got super excited thinking that they were actually going to throw Kopa in the mix. His adventures, maybe some of the story books he was in. Great. Exstatic. ... One problem..
His name is Kion. He is the third in line of the offspring of Simba and Nala. I just, I don't know how I want to feel about this, how I am feeling about this, and how I should feel... On one side I'm hella excited, like great "More Lion King stuff for me to fan girl about.
Lion King is my mane (lol) squeeze. First movie I ever saw. My brother's and I room was DECKED out in Lion King shizz. Wall paper, bed sheets, stuffed animals. The works.
One the other hand I'm like... are they REALLY?! Really trying to milk more out of the Lion King fandom. Granted, hell yea I"m gonna watch it. I mean, they already did a spin off tv show for Lion King. Its called Timon and Pumba's adventures... or something.. I've got at least three VHSs of them.
And another thing, the website said all the normal characters... except Kovu, Vitani, Zira, Nuka. None of the outlanders. So, does this mean that this is going to be BEFORE Kovu and Kiara got together? Or extreme after and they just didn't mention it. I mean it said "older sister and future Queen of the Pride Lands" It would make a bit more since to have it take place AFTER Kovu and Kiara got together, that way it wouldn't have changed any of the story line. But if they didn't and Kiara is just a little teenager instead of a young adult/ mid-teens as is. There's alot of questions that I don't want to wait around for Fall of 2015. Let alot 2016 for the damn show to start.
AND ONE MORE THING
Why does he have spots?! Did Nala do it with a hyena or a cheetah?? Or is he just THAT LITTLE that he hasn't grown out of his spots yet..

This is interesting! A new series based on “The Lion King,” starring Simba’s son, "Kion!" Looks like it’s premiering with a TV movie next fall and then the series will start in 2016!
