No, because for real. Getting a hug from Diluc is something we all need. He’s so warm and big, he will cover all your body with his own and protect you that way. One hand on your waist, the other tangled in your hair and your face hiding in his chest hearing his heartbeat that beats specifically for you, only for you. ❤️

yesss, he’s got that ‘protective hug’ kinda vibe!! You know!!??! Each of them have their own type of hug ::

Childe, Itto - the lift you into the sky, spin you around, feel your weight in their arms to make them feel alive kinda hug. to know that you are there only for them. They have such tight hugs too, their joy and excitement spilling over just at the thought of you -- they are prone to going overboard but as soon as you request something softer they will hold you if not but a little off the ground 

Diluc, Xiao, Dainsleif - protective hugs all AROUND. hand locked in the hair, head digging into your shoulder, palm pressing against your back as you bend and get lifted just a little into the air. you feel suffocated here but in the best possible way - all the weight is on his shoulder and he will take it if it means you will be safe - on more reserved displays of affection, he likes to hug you with his hand: a cup of your arm in his grip, your fingers resting against his own, his hand against your back - protective, shielding, flawless 

Albedo, Kazuha, Xiao, Gorou - respectful hugs, a bit reserved and possibly the best gift you could ever receive. He’s not the type to openly hug people just because they ask for it, you have to wait for these hugs and they are very very special. They move slowly from ‘respectful distance’ and every step he takes at getting to know you, understanding his feelings for you, they turn to ‘I feel safe with you’ - they get so close until finally you feel his chest and stomach, you hear his heartbeat and breaths - you have made it, and so did he 

Scara - possessive and a bit inexperienced hugs. He isn’t sure what to do with his hands and if you initiate the hug he will just hold them out like he’s gotten them wet and dares not touch anything - he’s likely to push you away at first either from embarrassment or uncertainty but once he feels more comfortable (or see’s how flustered you get) he’s likely to be obsessive in them: “what, done already, how cute” he says with traveling hands that make you scream 

Kaeya, Venti, Childe - touchy hugs, but man are they so wonderful - his hands are all over your back, he’s got one dangerously close to the back of your pants ;) -- the other either wrapped around your neck or pushing into your shoulders blades. He’s the kind of hugger that will do so in any way he can just so he has an excuse to touch you -- oh man, over the shoulder hugs, draped over your back hugs, head resting on your head or in your neck hugs - boy just wants to be close 

Zhongli, Thoma - filled with love, respect, consent - he would never hug you without a good reason and would likely ask you permission in one form or another. these hugs keep you straight, on your feet, secure - warm hands resting against your back as you feel his chest rise and fall - gentle words to comfort you and remind you everything will be okay - they start with a brush against your cheek and a beautiful request to keep you close

Thoma doesn't know where to put his hands so he just lets them live in front of you, palms open, fingers spread but eyes trained on you. He made you drink a lot of water but it didn't help much, "Th-ma ... You cute, like ... No wait ... Handsome. Like really hamsome." He's laughing but his cheeks burn, "I like hamsom ... Thma .." he pushes you along faster so you don't pass out ... And neither does he

Kazuha, oh man, you know he's already had a few with you. Instead of the confident stride, he's walking a little more loose and finds himself staring a little too much at the person wobbling ahead of him. You stop, look to the sky and breathe it in but he bumps into you and doesn't know what to do while you fix his hair and let sweet confessions tumble from your mouth

Itto's hand barely leaves your shoulder, your arm, the top of your head as he directs you back toward your house. He's impressed by the amount you put away (small or large, it sends him reeling). When you see something on the notice board and explain to him how much you like this person, he bursts into pride-filled laughter and decides to leave this particular wanted poster up for now

Albedo is used to drunkenness. He's seen Kaeya stumble into the knights headquarters often enough, but to see you out of sorts like this has gotten him a little worried. His mind is already calculating what to brew for you, what solution will being you back to your senses, but when you lean across the countertop and brush his hair from his face, your cheek smooshed against your arm, he feels himself at a loss and his heart a flutter when you hum, "you're so pretty" in soft laughter

You've learned your lesson. Out drinking Ayato is not an option. It's hard to see and concentrate but Ayato doesn't seem to mind your wandering thoughts, drifting eyes over his loose clothes, or seem to care that you've been inching toward him throughout the night. He especially didn't mind the secret you whispered in his ear as he helped you back to your room, "I have feelings for you," Ayato glances at your lips and asks if you'll be brave enough to tell him again in the morning

Not a request just more like I'm curious about your opinion on this. Do you think if a married DilucXreader, if a small orphaned child showed at the doorsteps of the dawn winery, do you think Diluc would take them in? I think so🤔 I think he would be more easily swayed if the reader/you expressed strongly that you want to take the child in. What do you think Hazel?

Diluc would take them in. He did the same with Razor for a while - so why not another. I don't think it would take much to convince him either; I'm confident he wants to be a Dad and if he had the chance he'd be a great one - albeit a worried, anxious, and a bit overbearing

I don't write children fics for personal reasons, but I have no doubts that he'd be an incredible father in that story

Diluc and his sensitive thighs agenda. How his voice hitched and he froze when your hand touch his thigh. How he gets red, whiny and his legs start shaking when you caress, kiss and bite his bare thighs. You just want to show him your love but occasional teasing is not that bad, isn’t it?

"How you doing, cutie?" You ask, fully knowing how much you're affecting him. It's obvious from the way he shifts in the chair, the way his fingers curl into a fist or cover his lips to hide his embarrassment. He huffs but can't respond to you, he looks and can't pull away. "Don't worry, I locked the door. It's just you and me, handsome."

Diluc slides further down as your hands run over his thighs all so you can lift off you knees and give him a playful kiss against the back of his fingers.

He loves when you obsess over him like this, whisper sweet nothings against his skin. In the bedroom or not, he will swoon if you praise him.

"I like you." You coo near his ear before lowering onto your knees again, nails making him shiver as they slide down his chest.

"I li-ah." He can't speak but he can breathe; he can't finish what his heart screams but he can slide his fingers into your hair; he can't move but he can tremble; he looks and never turns away.

Have you considered...Dad!Diluc.

Not in thr sense that he sired a child. No. That would be too easy. But in the sense that the traveler has one braincell, and often travels with other children who also have one braincell a piece, and so Diluc finds himself constantly surrounded by various children and teens from various nations who are hiding from a particularly nasty slime...or a fire flower who has been chasing them for miles.

And, like, evenly Diluc comes to expect it? Though I'm sure he was utterly baffled the first time he was used as a living shield and the traveler wasn't with them.

AH YES!! It’s already canon that Diluc found Razor and helped him out -- and I just love the idea of him being an older mentor figure to all the kids in mondstadt -- slipping in ideas to the kids to join the adventurers guild instead of the knights, encouraging them to be who they are and want to be even if the world is against them, secretly keeping them safe as the dark night hero without them knowing 

he might have this rough around the edges aura but he is unbelievably sweet and the kids can see that -- and when the grown-ups talk about him they stand up for him which only makes his heart grow three sizes (thank you friend for this idea! I love it and YES YES AGREE!)
