ciao ciao! how are you? is there another verb i can use to express that i like something? piacere often feels too awkward and amare is too strong. grazie amiche mie!
Ciao! You can use “adorare” (to adore - probably a bit too strong as amare), or “essere appassionato/a” / “avere una passione per” (to be passionate about / to have a passion for). For example: Adoro la fotografia - Sono appassionata di fotografia - Ho una (grande) passione per la fotografia.
A few others synonyms of “piacere” are:gradire (to like - probably a bit “formal”), essere interessato a / interessarsi di (to be interested in), andar pazzo per (to be crazy for/about- again probably strong), apprezzare (to like)… there are others ofc, but I feel these are the most common ones.
Can I ask you in which occasions, for example, do you feel the word piacere is too awkward to be used? :)
