Bogota Day 4

It hasn't really hit me that I'm living in Bogota... There have been a few challenges since arriving but nothing in life worth living is easy, right? Besides, how could we anticipate what it would be like until we got here. Luckily things have smoothed out a bit and interviews are well under way and apartments are the next order of business. $300 for 3 bedrooms?! Say it IS so! I'll have to get used to the way things are done here. No one trusts anyone here so everything is done with mucho cuidado and enough paperwork to make your eyes bleed. All I can do is laugh and try not to roll my eyes at the amount of official stamps each document needs... Even fingerprints haha! Ohhhh Colombia. We will get to know one another very well while I'm here! Food I'm itching to get cooking but so far the takeout has been pretty good. They have a place called Sipote... Sound familiar? It's like Chipotle's South American cousin... I laughed when I first read the name. I enjoyed my burrito nonetheless 😄 We also went to an Asian place called Teriyaki and the food was great! It was so so much food though we could've ordered one plate between the two of us. At least we know for next time! Pesos I'm having a hard time adjusting to the new currency. It feels like Monopoly money to me and I don't understand the value at all. I keep having to use a converter on my phone... $1 = $2,730 Colombian Pesos $10 = $27,304 Colombian Pesos $20 = $54,608 Colombian Pesos $50 = $136,522 Colombian Pesos $100 = $273,044 Colombian Pesos How am I supposed to learn this??
