“If his head was any bigger it could be used as a hot-air balloon. And would be fueled by all the hot air he spits out.” She rolled her eyes, ruffling the other’s hair a bit. “Mistakes, huh? Wonder what those could be.” She whispered back, before turning her attention to the rotom currently eyeing her plate. “Rikiki, what are you doing, you only eat batteries.” She chuckled.
For someone who acted so big and strong among his lab area, outside of his element the man was practically a yellow-bellied weedle. Not that Wrenne minded- never before had she had anyone instill so much hatred in her so fast. It made her sick. The things he did to pokemon, to his partners… to her best friend turned boyfriend that was sitting right beside her. He didn’t seem to understand morality, as though the concept was foreign to him. And he didn’t seem to show any signs of wanting to learn.
Forcefully pushing the thoughts to the back of her mind, the grunt took a forkful of the cafeteria food, gazing over to Fred. “At least you’re here.”
Fred laughed sardonically, grinning down at the table. How could he not have noticed Ted’s big ego for all these years... perhaps because he had believed all the thing he’d said, naively. It was kinda fun to bring him down now that he could. “Well... I walked in on him keepin’ a Team Magma grunt as a pet. An’ since we got a truce with them, when the bosses catch on, he’s gonna be in deep shit. Plus... he likes to play the system, too... jus’ ain’t always by the book. He’s gonna slip up sooner or later, he always does.”
He was interrupted by the Rotom from the corner of his eyes, backing his head away from its zapping form. He wasn’t fond of amorphous pokemon, but let the electric-type be. It wasn’t like he could just swat it away. “What makes you say that?” he asked Wrenne, trying to ignore it. Pulling his own lunch from under the table, a burger smuggled in from outside, he took a bite and looked at her. “I mean, what am I s’posed to do about it?”
