He had been invited to a corporate party, that Selena’s workplace threw, to perform a couple of songs. As he walked in, Zayn quietly scanned the place for her, and not long after he spotted Selena. She was even more gorgeous than he remembered, standing with a champagne glass in her hands and talking to her boss. In fact... she seemed a bit uncomfortable and her boss looked kind of intrusive. Zayn could feel that something was going on. It looked like her boss was trying to make a move on her like he usually did. Even though the last time they met they agreed on not jumping into anything and taking it slow, because he had recently gotten out of relationship with Gigi, which affected him a bit more than he thought it would, Zayn confidently walked up to her from behind and, sliding his hand around her tiny waist and pulling her close, took a place right beside her. “Hello darling,” he offered her a genuine and love filled smile and leaned in to kiss her cheek. “I’m saving you, pretend we’re dating again,” he whispered in her ear before leaning back with a loving smile. “I deeply apologize for being late, I hope you didn’t have to wait for me too long.”
