He’s always been Soft when it comes to you
It’s gotten to the point where he can’t keep hiding it anymore
So one day, he pulls you to one side
You don’t know what to think about it at first
He’s never exactly done this before
And by the sound of it, it’s something big
He comes out with it before you can even ask him what’s on his mind
“I’m not prepared to keep playing games anymore.”
That’s all Undertaker says at first
You don’t quite know what he means, but he continues
“Everyone else can see it except you, apparently. I like you. A lot.”
You need a good few minutes to process it
He hasn’t exactly treated you the same as everybody else
But he hasn’t given you any special treatment, either
“I don’t know whether the feeling is mutual, but why don’t we do dinner sometime? Or lunch, if you want.”
Seemingly out of nowhere, you’re tongue tied
This definitely wasn’t what you were expecting from him
When you say nothing, he presses further
“Just once? To see if anything will come of it? If not, things won’t be different between us. We can move on.”
You swear Undertaker is laying his soul bare for you in that moment
And it’s like he really, truly means every word
You mull it over, then you gradually smile up at him
“...Sure. One date won’t hurt, will it?”
