Just a little dialogue thing I wrote in my phone notes once...

Peayce: -but we've never really stopped him! What happens after we beat one of his little schemes? Sure, we delay him for the moment, but he always comes right back!

Flynn: Hate to break it to ya, Portal Master, but that's our job! We don't stop doing our duty just cuz' that little twerp doesn't know when to quit.

Peayce: True. That is your job. One you do very well. So with all your experience, you must've noticed.

Flynn: ...uh...noticed?

Peayce: Every time Kaos comes back, his plans get better. More elaborate. More difficult to stop. I mean, if I'm recalling this correctly, his last plan actually did work, didn't it? He won. Became Emerperor over all of Skylands?

Cali: Not for long! We managed to save Skylands, just like we always do.

Peayce: ...did you? Who was the one who turned on the Dark Rift Engine then?

Flynn: We were frozen! -and I'll have you know I was really uncomfortable! Took a WEEK for my chiropractor to work all the kinks out of my backside.

Cali: -and only reason Kaos betrayed the Darkness was beacuse he got backed into a corner! The Darkness was lording over him and, like always, he didn't want to listen! That does NOT make him a good guy and I think you know it!

Peayce: Perhaps not. -but please, I'm begging you all! If we keep doing what we've been doing, we're going to end up writing checks our forces can't cash! Master Eon, all I ask is that you give me chance to try something else! I believe there's more to Kaos than evil and conquest. He's capable of so much more! He just needs someone to show him a different way.

Master Eon: ...do you truly believe that, Portal Master?

Peayce: ...yes. Yes, I do.

Master Eon: Hmm. Go. Do what you feel is right.

Hugo: Master! You can't seriously be considering-

Master Eon: I know, Hugo. -but there is something you must understand about my apprentice. Her greatest weakness doubles as her greatest strength. She bears a talent for finding the Light in others, even if it is only the tiniest of specks. Her heart, while naive, is full of love. Love that endures. Love that can care for those tiny specks, in the hopes that perhaps one day, they'll grow into shining stars. Stars that will create a bright future for all. Including those like Kaos.

Cali: So you think it's worth the risk?

Master Eon: *sigh* Unfortunately, my apprentice has a point. Kaos is becoming more shrewd and cunning with every new attempt at world domination. I was not able to foresee his plans the last time he attempted a hostile takeover. I'm afraid we must find new strategy to protect Skylands from his insatiable lust for power... before it is too late for us all.

Oh absolutely, Nestors a gentle giant but I think (if he really had it in him) he'd knock him clean out 😭

Really he's going to give him that disappointing Dad glare that devastates everyone in a 5 mile radius, Eon is unaffected by trust that by the time Spyros 10 ft tall he'd knock Eon out himself
