Chan, ever the responsible one, made the bet first. “One month. No distractions. We focus on our health, our music, and our discipline.”
And then Y/N walked into the studio wearing his oversized hoodie. His hoodie.
He blinked once. Twice. Then promptly forgot what he was producing.
“You good, Chan?” you ask, sipping your drink, perched on the edge of the couch like temptation wrapped in casual comfort.
“Mhmm,” he hums, eyes fixed on the computer screen that’s not even on anymore.
He convinced himself it was manageable—he could handle this. But the moment you stretched and yawned softly, he nearly lost it. Later, he was found doing push-ups in the hallway.
“Bro... what are you doing?” Changbin asked, surprised.
“Working out the energy,” Chan responded between clenched teeth.
Lee Know
Minho insists he’s unbothered. “It’s easy,” he claims. “Just don’t think about it." But he's clearly lying.
Because Y/N chooses to sit beside him during movie night—and not just beside him, but nestled into his side, fingers playing absentmindedly with the hem of his sweater.
“You’re tense,” you tease with a smile.
"Am I?” he mutters, voice dropping an octave.
He stays perfectly still, not even shifting when you rest your head on his shoulder. His eyes stay fixed on the screen, seemingly reciting the alphabet backwards in his mind just to keep it together.
Hyunjin glances over from across the couch and whispers, “Minho’s gonna combust.”
By day ten, Minho is cleaning everything— not out of hygiene, but to distract himself from thinking about you. Even the cats seem to be judging him.
“You’re so weak,” he mutters to himself in the mirror.
"You lasted two minutes of cuddles," he adds, as if taunting his own resolve.
⸻
Changbin
Changbin was determined to win the bet. “I’m strong,” he boasted, flexing his muscles. "I have willpower." But he never saw Y/N walking into the gym in leggings.
“Spot me?” you ask casually.
“Y-yeah, sure,” he stammers, hurriedly trying to compose himself.
Throughout the set, he avoids eye contact, glancing anywhere but at you. The mirror? Nope. The ceiling? Maybe. By the third rep, his face is flushed, and he's mumbling prayers to every deity he knows.
After finishing, he dashingly heads to the locker room to dunk his head under cold water, desperate to cool off.
Later, Chan greets him with a curious, "How’s the challenge going?"
“I’m… suffering," Changbin admits, exhaustion plain in his voice.
He begins doing late-night runs to “clear his mind,” but it’s no use—especially when he sees your text: “Don’t forget to stretch 😉".

Hyunjin
Hyunjin was brimming with confidence. “I’ll just channel it into my art,” he declared.
But that turned out to be a bad idea. Every painting he created wound up looking just like Y/N.
One night, you visit his studio out of curiosity about what he’s working on.
“Can I see?" you ask.
“No!” he snaps, hastily shielding his canvas as if it’s top secret.
You tilt your head, smirking. “Is that supposed to be me?”
His ears flush bright red. “No… maybe… shut up.”
You sit beside him, peering over his shoulder, and swear you can feel a static warmth radiating from your proximity.
He drops his paintbrush abruptly.
You giggle softly.
He mumbles something that eerily sounds like a prayer.
Later that night, he sends a message to the group chat:
༒♥️༒ L'energia tra Hyunjin e Bang Chan in "Cinema" è stata davvero magnetica, una prova incredibile di quanto il loro talento e la loro intesa riescano a rendere ogni fan meeting un evento indimenticabile! 🎤✨

She stares ahead at the burning field, marking the end of their enemy's territory. Their kingdom had finally claimed the land, burning the old palace to ashes and its people.
A sense of fulfilment washed over her, anger once more settling at the pit of her stomach. She's one step closer to her purpose, and now that no one's on her way to get in her way, she knows she will be soon claiming victory.
"Your Highness."
Or not.
Slowly turning her head to look at the royal guard standing close behind her, she realized she had to get rid of another nuisance before finally succeeding her plans.
She smirked, realizing it was none other Chan, her childhood best friend-turned-warrior-turned husband, all because of her plans.
She smirked.
"you really are the greatest warrior, aren't you?" She started, eyeing him to the side but still not fully facing him. "You are really deserving to be married to the royal princess, aren't you?"
When the presence behind her failed to respond, she continued musing, "I'm preparing a victory party for your troupe, thank me later." She smirked.
"I'm not interested in that."
His answer caught her off guard, sending her attention fully to him.
She frowned realizing that she never got the chance to study the state he's in right now, too focused on how to pursue her plans in the nearing future.
She scanned him from head to toe.
There was blood dripping on the side of his face from the ends of his hair line, a nasty cut starting from the left side of his cheekbone down to his right cheek, and a busted lip.
And yet, all of the aforementioned were only found on his face.
On his torso, were several cuts as well, his right fingers dripping blood, and yet all of these were nothing to soldiers who were trained to be in war.
A fickle of worry bubbled up inside her chest as her eyes faltered and she hated the fact that she felt that way.
He was a mere marionette to her plans, albeit him being a friend. And she will never let feelings get in the way of her revenge. She immediately buried that angsty feeling deep in her chest and put on a blank face.
"If you weren't here to boast about your victory, then what brings you here?"
"I already know about your plan," he started and it startled her how calm he was at the situation. "At first I was confused, as to why you chose me marry you. But I know it all along now..." He trailed off and she gulped, trying to hide the nervous feeling bubbling up her chest.
"oh yeah? And why is that?"
"because marrying someone under you will give full authority of the throne." He concluded. "If by chance you married a prince, he will be the immediate successor of the throne, not you. As you know that the kingdom sees King to be fit more than a queen."
She balled her hands into fists at the side of her peach-colored gown, her knuckles growing white. She hated how he could see right through her and her plans, just like the old times.
Chan smiled, the one that didn't reach his eyes as he looked down the ground. "I know I'm in no position to tell you this. " He fished his hands inside his pockets, his heel playing with the ground as if he was crushing something. "I think you should stop whatever you're thinking before it's too late." He looked up to see her eyes widened in anger at him.
"your wrath will only destroy you." He stated that with a straight look on his face, as if he was talking to another soldier, not his childhood friend, not his wife, and most definitely not the upcoming queen of this country.
"You shut your mouth soldier or I will not hesitate to slit your throat with your own sword." She gritted her teeth as she let out her angered words.
"Bow down to your queen."
A/N: A lil cliffhanger for the lovelies! May or may not continue this XD
AUTHOR’S NOTE: I’m just starting out newly writing for SKZ. I hope you guys like this little drabble I wrote for Chan!
WARNING: none- unless you don’t like mention of a little bit of blood. :)
WORD COUNT: 1.6K
You knew it was too good to be true.
He was too perfect; the smile, the body, all of it.
Know you were afraid and alone.
Scared of being alone.
It felt somewhat cold and distant, but you’d do anything to numb all of the pain you were feeling in this moment.
What you witnessed wasn’t expected at all. You were just dropping off lunch for Chan during dance practice, but then you saw him and his ex in one corner of the room together. Her… the one Chan had written “I Hate to Admit” about. You knew she had hurt him, and that you were the one who healed him. But what you weren’t expecting was for her to show up again. Hadn’t she hurt him enough?
They didn’t notice you there. You were standing in the doorway, holding the glass Tupperware while holding back tears.
They were kissing. They were having the time of their lives, and all you could do was watch. It made you realize how useless and pathetic you were. You were nothing to Chan. You were never anyone important. You knew that she’d hurt him, but you didn’t actually believe that he would go back to her. He probably thought you wouldn’t find out.
Right as they pulled away from the kiss, the Tupperware in your hands fell to the ground with a loud bang. They turned to see a flustered you at the doorway with tears in your eyes.
“Y/N…” Chan said as he started walking towards you.
Without any hesitation, you knelt to pick up the shards of glass on the ground. “I’m sorry for bothering your little session.” One of the shards of glass cut your hand, but you couldn’t feel them anymore. You were just hurt by the actions of the one person you’d give up your life for. You ran to the end of the hallway, throwing away the shards of glass into the trashcan and entering the elevator.
“Y/N wait!-” Chan said trying to catch up to you.
After what felt like an eternity, the elevator doors closed fast enough for you to make sure Chan couldn’t catch up to you.
How stupid of you. Believing that Chan would love you the same way he loved the girl who he first loved. You were nothing compared to her. Chan always brushed off talking about her, but you knew deep down there was still something that bothered him about the topic of her. You just didn’t know what.
DING! The elevator stopped at the lobby of the JYP building. Right as you stepped out, you saw Sana. She was the one who’d set you and Chan up.
“Hi, Y/N! Are you doing oka- Oh, honey, what happened?” She asked worried about the tear stained cheeks you had.
“It’s nothing, just a bit emotional today,” you replied as she stared into your eyes out of concern.
“Y/n… don’t lie. I know you. Don’t lie to me. Unnie’s here for you.”
“It’s okay, I promise! I’ll see you around!” You said while faking a smile, trying to hide your bleeding hand and walking out of the lobby.
Right as you were 10 feet from the exit, you heard Chan yell to the security guard, “Stop her!”
Before you could speed off past the security guard, the tall and bulky guard stood in front of you.
“Sir, please understand. I didn’t do anything wrong,” you said, trying to convince the guard that you were innocent of whatever Chan was talking about.
The guard ignored you, and spoke to Chan.
“Thank you, my girlfriend just likes running away from me sometimes, she’s too fast for me,” Chan said with a smile to the guard before dragging you away.
To avoid making anything obvious to the employees surrounding you both, you silently and angrily allowed Chan to drag you back to the elevator.
As the elevator doors closed, you stood in silence with blood running down your hands. You were trying to fight Chan’s tight grip around your wrist, but it was to no avail. His grip was tight, showing his white knuckles.
“You’re hurting me!” you yelped while trying to release your wrist.
Chan just stood there holding your wrist with a dark look in his eyes. You knew that he was mad, but what right did he have to be mad? He’s the one who cheated on you. The elevator stopped as you both stepped onto the floor with the recording studios.
“Why are we here?!” you yelled as loud as you could to try and embarrass him. Chan took the first aid kit on the wall and walked over to check if one of the studios was empty. Once finding that it was empty, Chan flipped the card on the panel by the door to Do Not Disturb: Recording in Session with still no reply nor reaction on his face.
As Chan opened the door to the recording studio, he forced you to sit on the couch, and locked the door. Without any hesitation, he took your hand and started rubbing alcohol onto your cut. Wincing quietly in pain so that he wouldn’t see that it did in fact hurt, you turned the other way. After cleaning your cut, he put ointment and a band-aid on your hand.
While throwing away the scraps from the band-aid, Chan softly said, “It’s not what it looks like.”
You didn’t know what to say. You wanted to punch him, hit him so he would feel the same pain you were also feeling. But all you could say was, “that’s what every cheater says.”
“Y/n. I’m not lying. You know that I’m not like that. I-”
“No, Chan. I don’t know what you’re like. I don’t know what your true heart wants. Don’t bring your bullshit over here, trying to make me look like the bad guy.”
Saying these words to Chan was hard, but it wasn’t as hard as walking in on him cheating on you with none other than his ex.
“Y/n, you need to understand that I didn’t go in for that kiss. I never even knew she was in the building until she showed up.”
“Rightttt…” You said while rolling your eyes, “you didn’t know she was in the building, but somehow ended up in the same room, kissing each other.”
“Y/n. I’m serious.”
“Prove it. Prove to me that you’re innocent, Chan. Prove to me that you didn’t know she was here, that you didn’t kiss her on purpose! Prove to me that you weren’t going to fuck her if I wasn’t at the door!” you yelled on the top of your lungs. You never usually got angry, but when you did, your voice could resonate through anything. “That’s what I thought, Chan. You can’t prove that you didn’t want to do it-because it’s horny men like you that make excuses for your actions.” Right as you were walking towards the door, Chan grabbed you by the waist and forced you to sit back down. “Let go of me! Stop it, Chan!” You attempted as you were back where you were a few seconds ago.
“I’ll prove it, y/n,” Chan said breathlessly as he took his phone out from his pocket.
“What? Your phone is proof that you’re innocent?!” you started to get up again as Chan stuck his phone in your face.
It was a recording of him practicing from earlier. Chan always recorded himself practicing to watch himself and correct his own moves. You watched as he was practicing their new choreography as his ex walked in, and walked up to him to talk to him. You saw that Chan realized it was her and kept his distance. She walked closer and closer to him. Chan stood there like a rock, incapable of walking away.
“Hi, babe. It’s been awhile,” she said.
“(Ex’s name), you shouldn’t be here. How’d you get in?” you heard Chan’s voice.
“I have my ways, Chan. I miss you, you know? I know we didn’t have the best relationship, but I miss us. I miss the love we had, I miss our cuddles. Don’t you miss us too?” She said all of these things while drawing closer to Chan and attempting to touch him.
You saw Chan pull away as he replied sternly, “No, I don’t miss us. I have y/n who taught me what love truly is. Y/n is the only woman in this world I’d ever love and give my life to.”
“Oh come on, honey. She could never treat you as good as I can. Don’t forget that I’m your first, and will eventually become your last and only.”
“(Ex’s name), you need to leave. I don’t need you here. You’re not invited here anymore.”
And in that moment, she pulled Chan into a kiss right as you walked into the frame, opening the door to the practice room.
“Is that enough proof for you?” Chan asked.
You didn’t know what to say. You were glad that proved his case, but you felt so guilty of the things you’d said while you were angry with him.
“I-” was all you could get out of your mouth as Chan attacked your mouth with his own. It was a sweet kiss. A taste of I’m always going to be here, I’m only yours, and the usual pulling away with a slight bit of blush on your cheeks.
“You don’t actually need to say anything, y/n. It’s a rhetorical question.”
“I knew that…” you muttered as Chan chuckled and pulled you to cuddle with him on the couch of the studio.
“I’m sorry that I-”
“Ah, ah. Don’t. I know that you didn’t mean anything you said, okay babe? Just know what I’m one damn loyal ass man, and am a man of my words. I’d never hurt you ever, okay?”
This was the man you loved. All you could do was nod and doze off to sleep with him for the rest of the afternoon.
