The last week of May, it was hot and unbearably humid. The air felt like it wanted to rain more than anything but the sky couldn’t produce a single rain cloud over the dense forest an hour outside of Hawkins. For the next month your friends and their partners, and you had all agreed to go and be camp counselors at a summer camp some of the younger siblings of your friends were sent off to. Little Mike Wheeler and his best friend Will Byers whose older siblings were not only dating but Nancy was your best friend, the two had convinced their entire friend group of DnD loving nerds to spend a month in the wilderness. Wills mom being a bit of a helicopter mom had made Johnathan promise to go too as a counselor, and so he drug Nancy along. Then Dustin Henderson had convinced his ‘babysitter’ Steve Harrington to be a counselor too; Steve had dated Nancy a few years back but everyone was still able to be friends, and honestly that was the push Steve needed to ask out his crush Eddie Munson, who was basically attached to Steve the last 2 years they’d been together, so of course he made Henderson sign them both up. He also loved all the little ones, indoctrinating them into his much more mature and big league DnD club. Steve also made his best friend Robin come, she was probably the most excited of the group, because Robin had always wanted to go away for summer camp but her parents could never afford it, so this was her childhood dream come true. Robin and Nancy then begged you to come too, and with your entire friend group leaving for a month your choice was already made for you.
You weren’t much for the outdoors, hated bugs and getting eaten by mosquitoes and ticks. But you loved an adventure and wouldn’t turn down the chance to get out of town for half the summer. The added bonus was getting to look at Steve and Eddie the entire month, although you knew they were very much together, you longed for the way they looked at each other, and found yourself getting knots in your stomach when Eddie would wink at you or Steve would wrap an arm around you and lean in when he was a little bit tired or had too much of Eddies joint. You felt like a nasty pervert when you watched them kiss each other deeply during movie nights and wished you could just slide in between them and be apart of it. Guilt aside you still found yourself touching yourself on more than one occasion to the idea of what the three of you could do together. Then not being able to look either of them in the eyes the next day, as if they could see the lust in your eyes like a neon highway sign.
The camp had asked that all the counselors arrived a week before the kids did so they could get to know the grounds, get settled in, and go through necessary first aide training. There was only 3 older adults working with you, the nurse, the cook and the camp leader who was the boss of it all, the rest was your 18-21 year old friends and 3 other TBA counselors. You all piled into Eddies van and tore off into the woods, Eddie had made sure to bring plenty of weed and beer for the week, he saw it as one big party with his friends and was getting more hyped by the minute. Steve was sitting shotgun and mooning over his boyfriend, who was driving one handed while his right hand rested on Steve’s exposed thigh. The sight made your ears ring and your palms sweaty, not just from the summer weather. You were in the back sandwiched between Johnathan and Robin, Nancy got car sick so she needed to be by a window. When your group pulled up to the camp there was 2 sheriffs cars along with yellow crime scene tape blocking the dirt lot. Eddie pulled to a stop and Steve rolled his window down, talking to the younger deputy.
“You kids here for the summer camp?” He questioned in a heavy southern accented voice.
“Yeah, what happened? Our boss said today at noon we were supposed to be here.” Steve nervously tapped on the outside of the passenger door with his arm hanging outside the downed window.
“Well you kids can go ahead up to the camp, had a little incident last night but we’re just about done here and yall can go back to normal.” He pushed his sunglasses up his pointy nose with his middle finger and then spat onto the dirt.
You cringed at the size of the mucus he expelled. “Gross..” you whispered to Robin.
The deputy was being vague for a reason, he lifted the neon yellow strips of tape that were tumbling around in the breeze and let Eddie drive through and into the camp grounds. He came to a stop next to a massive cabin in the middle of the grounds, where the lead counselor was standing with another deputy along with who you could guess was the nurse. Both of them were older in age, 50-60s, the camp leader was a short balding man who looked like he could slide through the cracks in the wooden cabin if he shifted the wrong way, and the nurse was a soft round faced woman who’s hair had gone grey and she was wearing a white cardigan, despite it being a million degrees outside.
You all exited the van and walked up to the three of them. Steve taking charge and asking what happened.
“Oh you must be the rest of my counselors!! Nothing to worry about here, just some prank we think. Kids are always coming up here before the season and messing around.” The camp leader let out a nervous laugh. “Anyways, if you want to go get settled into your cabins, they’re just up that hill. The other counselors should already be up there. Boys are to the left and girls on the right.” He waved you guys off before you could ask any questions.
Everyone trekked up the rocky, uneven hill towards the cabins until you came to the fork in the path where they split off.
“See you ladies later!” Eddie chuckled and winked your direction, taking Steve’s hand in his and walking up the path. Steve waved to you and Robin with his free hand.
Nancy and Johnathan shared a quick kiss and then Johnathan jogged after the other two.
“Ugh couples am I right? It’s going to be like this allllll summer.” Robin teased and jabbed her elbow into your side.
“Maybe the girl of your dreams is up in our cabin Buckley and you’ll ditch me for your summer romance.” You gave her a teasing kissy face.
As the two of you giggled and teased each other, Nancy rolled her eyes with a smile and the three of you went to check out your shared cabin. Inside it was nothing special, actually less than that. The interior was coated in dust and dead moths, the air smelled stale and musty. There were 2 single beds on one side of the cabin, already claimed by the two other girl counselors, and on the other end was a bunk bead and another small single bed. Each of the beds had matching green plastic mattresses on them, squeaky and lumpy.
“Oh you must be the others!” One of the other girls said, she had thick blonde long hair that was in matching tight braids that went down to her butt.
“Bout time you got here, we were starting to think you guys were the ones that got axed to death last night!” The second girl laughed in a dry raspy voice. She had auburn hair that was shoulder length and it was styled and fluffed out to mimic Farrah Fawcett’s iconic style. Both had on matching camp shirts that were all hung up for each one of you.
“Excuse me?” Nancy questioned. “What did you say happened??” She tried to not sound scared, but with Nancy that could’ve also just been pure journalistic intrigue, it was hard to tell.
“All those cops? Someone totally came up here last night and like chopped up a body! They don’t know who it is yet though.” The second girl vapidly said, picking at her cuticles totally unphased.
Robin, Nancy and you all exchanged a look of unease.
“Stop it you’re totally scaring them!” The blonde with braids scolded her friend to which she just rolled her eyes.
“It’s going to be a long summer with that one.” You whispered to Robin and she snickered.
Over in the boys cabin they were all faced with a familiar face. Billy Hargrove.
“Sup losers.” He nodded his head towards the three of them. Blasting some Scorpion song over his boom box.
“Long time no see Hargrove, how’s it been?” Steve nodded back, all but yelling over the loud music.
Billy clicked his stereo off, “You know me, ever since I took over being the King of Hawkins for you I’ve just been so busy. Practically drowning in pussy.” He laughed.
Johnathan rolled his eyes.
“Good for you man, we were going to smoke a joint if you wanted some?” Eddie asked.
“Hell yeah.” Billy grabbed his sunglasses off the bed and all four of them headed outside into the woods.
-
Later on in the evening everyone met back up for dinner in one of the main cabins, the long wooden tables sat parallel in rows filling the empty space. At the very end of the far table was 2 large surfer boy pizza boxes and a few liters of soda.
“Thought there was a cook or something?” Robin questioned.
“Pizzas probably better than whatever nasty camp food we’ll have to endure the rest of the month whenever they do get here. It’s a blessing trust me.” Steve flipped open the top pizza box and rubbed his hands together, the munchies taking hold of him and he was ready to inhale half the box.
You grabbed your slices and sat in the middle of the bench attached to the table. Eddie flopped down on your left and reached over to pluck a stray pepperoni from your plate. “HEY! I was going to eat that!” You huffed.
Eddie laughed, “Sure sweetheart, and then when you were all done and picked all the pepperoni off your pizza, like you always do, you’d slide me your plate. So consider me being efficient.”
Damnit you knew he was right. Steve sat down next to you laughing at your pity party, and soon everyone filtered over with chatter, Robin introduced the girls in your cabin to your friend group. You learned their names were Gina and Tina, Gina was the blonde and Tina the auburn haired girl. They spent all of dinner drooling over Billy, asking him all about his workouts and car and music taste, you rolled your eyes so many times you were surprised they still managed to remain in your skull.
Nancy was oddly quiet the whole meal, she sat directly across from you so you kicked at her pastel colored converse. “What’s up Nance? You’re not usually this quiet.”
She just picked at her pizza crust. “Just unsettled about the whole crime scene we walked in on. And especially what those two said back at the cabin…” she motioned towards the two girls, oblivious to your conversation watching Billy chug almost a whole 2-liter of soda, “I snuck around a little before we had dinner too and there was a murder. The cook. That’s why the got us pizza.” The table quieted down with Nancy’s words.
“No shit. That’s spooky.” Eddie swallowed a mouthfull of pizza.
“Sounds like some Sleepaway Camp rip off..” Johnathan put his arm around Nancy’s shoulders to help calm her down.
“Probably just some bear that wandered into camp. Doubt it was actually a murderer.” Steve nervously laughed.
“You guys are such pussies. Even if there was a murderer, sure it’s easy to take out some old fat dude. Doubt they’d be dumb enough to try that on a bunch of us. I mean look at me.” Billy flexed which caused Gina and Tina to squeal.
“Ugh barf.” Robin laughed and stuck her tongue out.
You brought your focus back to Nancy, “Look I think I saw some stuff for s’mores in the kitchen, why don’t the guys go get a fire started and we can make some to get our minds off of things.”
Nancy nodded in agreement and followed Johnathan and Steve outside, you grabbed Eddie by the back of his shirt, keeping him behind the group. “Eddie can I ask a favor? You said you brought beer right? I think Nancy could use a few. She looks really freaked.”
“Sure thing, come help me grab it from the van?” Eddie bowed and held out his arm for you to loop yours with, which made your face turn a light shade of red that reached the tips of your ears.
“So why do you seem so calm about all this?” Eddie questioned.
You let out a sigh and shrugged, “Steve’s probably right, don’t tell him I said that but it probably was just a bear or something.”
Midnight approached and the group had demolished the s’more’s, along with almost all the beer Eddie managed to squirrel into the woods. Billy and his newest fan girls had snuck off somewhere in the trees and you could hear faint giggles and gasps wrapped in with the crackling of the fire. Nancy passed out so Johnathan carried her back up to the cabin and stayed with her to make sure she didn’t get sick; and Robin had taken up her self appointed role of ‘fire master’ and was poking the stack of burning wood so it would burn evenly and adding new logs when needed.
“Now that the kids are in bed why don’t we tell some scary stories?” Eddie stood up and gestured shadow figures into the tree line for dramatics.
“Okay but first I need to take a piss.” Steve went off somewhere behind a tree.
That’s when you all stilled. Not even a single cricket was chirping after a guttural, blood curdling, ear drum shattering scream blanketed the camp. Bouncing off trees and cabins, it made everything stand still.
“W-what the fuck was that??” Robin whispered.
Wide eyed you looked at Eddie, “We need to find Steve.”
Before you could stand up he came sprinting up the dirt path, pants still undone, “Please tell me you guys heard that too??” He stopped next to the fire, out of breath from running. Eddie pulled Steve into a hug and kissed his cheek, giving him a quick once over for injuries.
You all nodded. “Glad it wasn’t you screaming.” Robin slapped his back.
“You two go check on Johnathan and Nancy, we’ll go try to find the others.” Steve said.
“No way! You guys aren’t wandering off in the woods alone!! No!! We don’t even know who or what that came from!” You argued.
“Rule one doofus.. you never split up in a horror movie. She’s right.” Robin agreed.
“FINE. the cabins closer, we’ll go check on those two first and then go looking for the others, happy?” Steve said, handing you the flashlight he had.
“Extremely.” You grinned, taking the lead up towards the cabins.
Robin clung to your side as you swept the flashlight across the path, Eddie and Steve walked close behind you. Once you got to the split path that lead different directions towards the girls/boys cabins you stopped.
“Should we check our cabin first?” You asked.
“Yeah that’s probably where they went right? Or would tweedle dee and tweedle blonde get mad if Johnathan was in your cabin?” Eddie joked.
You all headed towards the girls cabin, not seeing any lights on, you cracked open the door and whispered inside, “Nance, Johnathan? You guys in here..”
You slowly crept inside, Robin was basically on top of you at this point, which made it impossible to walk.
“Johnathan.. Nancy..” Steve called from behind you. “Are you guys okay??”
Back towards Nancy’s bed you saw a figure, tucked away under the covers. Slowly you pulled back the blanket and held your breath.. Nancy was snoring softly, blissfully unaware of the horror unfolding around camp.
“Okay but where’s Johnathan? He wouldn’t just leave her here..” Robin questioned.
“You guys wait here in case he comes back, we’ll just run over and check our cabin for him. Maybe he’s asleep too.” Eddie took off out the door before you could stop him. Steve ran after him.
“Fucking idiots..” you mumbled, your stomach in knots, not wanting anything bad to happen to them.
The 5 minutes they were gone felt like an eternity. But finally they came back and had Johnathan with them. “He was asleep too. We had to dump the mattress on the floor to get him to wake up.” Eddie grumbled.
“Sorry to worry you guys.. what happened?” Johnathan was still groggy and let out a massive yawn.
“There was a horrible scream. We need to go find the others now.. they went off in the woods somewhere.” You motioned your flashlight towards the treeline.
“Okay so question is, if you were to go hook up somewhere out there, where would you go?” Robin tapped her finger on her chin. “They had to be kind of close to the fire, with all that obnoxious giggling and moaning we heard.”
You decided to leave Nancy sleeping and Johnathan stayed to watch her, locking the door behind you guys. The other four of you took off back towards the fire pit and found the wake of a disaster. The fire had been stomped out and embered pieces of wood laid kicked across the area. Lodged in the tree closest to the clearing was an axe.
“Jesus Christ.” Eddie was the only one to speak.
With your adrenaline spiking, you could feel your heart beat in your ears. Suddenly a branch snapping behind you caught your attention, and before you knew what was happening, Billy stood across the clearing, gripping Gina’s lifeless body by her upper arm as she dangled in his grip , it looked like she was covered in blood that soaked into her blonde hair and Billy let out a hysterical laughter while the rest of you just stood there scared shitless.
“Billy what the fuck man!!” Steve yelled. You and Robin screamed in unison.
And then Gina suddenly stood and started laughing, joining Billy and Tina stumbled from behind a tree. “WE TOTALLY GOT YOU LOSERS!”
You and Robin shared a confused look, mouths still agape from screaming. When the three of them got closer you noticed Gina wasn’t covered in blood, but ketchup.
“We wanted to scare you guys since everyone was practically pissing themselves at dinner over the cook getting axed. So we went off into the woods and screamed, then when you guys went off to investigate like the little Scooby doo gang that you are, we trashed the place and made it look like I went psycho and killed the girls.” Billy couldn’t stop laughing. He thought this was the funniest thing he’d ever done.
“Not fucking funny Billy!! We actually thought you guys got hurt! You’re an ass!” You shoved at his chest and he threw his hands up in defeat.
“Damn calm down! I was just trying to enjoy myself while I’m here. See you later, we’re going back to the cabin for more fun. Stevie boy, Munson, you guys can crash somewhere else tonight.” Billy winked and made a crude gesture with his hand, mimicking licking pussy with his index and middle finger, he wiggled his long tongue towards you. “You’re welcome to join us.”
“In your dreams Billy.” You flipped him off, trying not to let him see your flushed face in the darkness.
Billy and the girls walked off, still in fits of laugher over their prank.
“Looks like we’re all sharing a cabin tonight.” Steve sighed.
When morning rolled around you stirred awake when the sunlight hit your face. All you could think about was getting your hands on some coffee, looking around you could see your friends spread out around your cabin all sleeping soundly. Nancy and Johnathan curled up on her single bed, Robin on the top bunk, and Eddie and Steve pushed the other two singles together to make a bigger bed, where their long limbs were a tangled mess. Eddies hair was wild and unruly, laying over Steve’s soft features while he slept, an image you wish you could burn into your brain forever.
You put on your shoes and a hoodie and lazily made your way towards the big building holding the kitchen. It was cold and dark inside so you flipped on a few lights while making your way through the kitchen. No coffee pot in sight you sighed, maybe they had one in the admin building? Exiting the kitchen you wondered around and found the building with the giant Red Cross on it attached to a smaller office where the admin and registration took place. You opened the nurses building first, that one remained open always in case of any emergencies, it had a phone and all the first aide supplies needed. Clicking on the humming fluorescent lights, looking for any signs of a coffee pot. That’s when it caught your eye, something out of place your brain couldn’t fathom it to be real. Laying on the wooden floor next to the cot was a hand, drained of any color it looked like a mannequin you’d see at Macys. Taking a closer look, the hand was attached to an arm, and then a body. The face of that body was the round-faced nurse you’d seen not 12 hours prior. No color in her cheeks, and a giant wound stretching from her left shoulder all the way down her torso.
Everything slowed. You heard someone scream, it sounded like you. Oh it was you. Flight response kicked in and you tried to get away but your legs wouldn’t work. You hit the floor and tried to scramble away, you’d slipped in her blood and it was all over your hands and legs now. You managed to crawl outside and puke everything in your stomach into the dirt.
“What is it?? Are you okay?? Answer me, look it’s okay it’s us. Steve and Eddie.” You looked up through blurry tear filled eyes to find Eddie holding your shoulders trying to get you to respond.
“Is that your blood? Are you hurt?” Steve asked.
All you could do was point inside.
You heard them both swear, then Steve picked up the phone on the wall and dialed the police. They wrapped you into a blanket and tried to help calm you down until the police showed up. By then everyone had woken up and came to see what the screaming was about, and you all silently agreed not to mention Billy’s little stunt the night before. The police spent hours questioning everyone about where they were and when, everyone agreeing how the night was spent around the campfire then everyone went to sleep around midnight. The officer was already annoyed with the paperwork two murders in less than 24 hours was making him so he didn’t pry too much, after finally getting ahold of the head camp leader and asking him questions, the officer quickly left the camp, leaving his yellow crime scene tape up and the camp fading into his rear view mirror.
“I’m going to go lay down for a while.” You were exhausted, and just wanted to sleep off the rest of your day.
“We’ll walk you, make sure you’re okay.” Steve gently wrapped an arm around your waist and walked with you towards the cabin.
Eddie was on your other side, holding a few water bottles and some new towels he took from the office. Once in the cabin Steve led you to sit on the edge of the beds him and Eddie had pushed together the night before.
“Here’s some towels, why don’t you grab a hot shower before you lay down. It’ll help relax you. And drink this too.” He handed you one of the water bottles.
“Thanks guys. I can’t believe she’s dead, I mean, I didn’t know her but we were just talking to her a few hours ago and then she didn’t even look real laying there like that.” You sniffled.
Eddie tucked a piece of hair behind your ear, the cool metal of his rings felt amazing on your feverish face, irritated from crying. You grabbed some clean clothes and headed off to the bathroom in the back of the cabin, when you emerged, the pair had made you a comfy spot on the bed with blankets and pillows.
“Want us to stay with you a while?” Steve asked.
You nodded. And they sandwiched you between them, each taking turns rubbing small circles into your back until you fell asleep.
-
You woke hours later over heated and sticky with sweat. A noise had pulled you from your sleep, you looked around the cabin to find it empty, except for Steve and Eddie still laying with you. Steve had his arms wrapped around your waist, pulled tight against his hips, and was letting tiny moans and groans out in his sleep. The sight made your head spin, and as your mind cleared from sleep a bit more you felt it, the rock hard bulge in Steve’s shorts he was pressing into you. You swallowed harshly, looking to your other side where Eddie was also asleep, but extremely closer than what you remembered him being when you climbed into bed. His forehead was pressed almost to yours, his bangs clinging to his forehead, damp with a mixture of your sweat and his. You could feel his small exhaled breaths hitting your lips, and you wanted nothing more than to just lean in the few inches more and kiss him.
“Mmm fuck babe. Missed this ass.” Steve groaned loudly in his sleep.
He must’ve thought you were Eddie, your heart was racing, you knew you should wake them up, but you were absolutely frozen in the moment, battling your own mixture of arousal and cognitive dissonance.
Your moral compass pointed north this time, much to the displeasure of the devil on your shoulder.
“Eddie wake up.” You whispered.
He stirred, stretching and reaching out towards you, resting his arms on top of Steve’s, which hung low on your waist.
“Mmm five more minutes and I’ll rock your world.” Eddie hummed and licked his lips.
You rolled your eyes, but Steve’s wet dream was getting far more intense. He began grinding into you, still moaning Eddie’s name.
“Stevie, wake up. I’m not Eddie.” You whispered over your shoulder towards him.
Both were so lost in their own dreamworlds they didn’t want to be pulled from.
“Eddie.” You said a bit louder through your teeth, “wake the hell up. Now. Please.” Your tone went from demanding to pleading.
That made Eddie grin a massive shit eating grin as he slowly opened one eye. “All you had to say was please sweetheart.”
His voice was raspy and deep, you gazed at him with a debouched wanting look. But before you could say anything Steve snapped his hips again so rough this time it shook the bed, “mm that’s it baby, love fucking you deep like this.”
“What do I do? I couldn’t wake him up! Help me.” You whispered, your entire face glowing red now.
Eddies brain was short circuiting, Steve was having a wet dream about fucking him, but shamelessly rutting and humping into you like no tomorrow. He felt so wrong for being turned on, but he knew the longer he let it go on the more upset Steve would be. But not without one quick jab at your expense.
“If you wanted to wake him up so badly then why are we whispering?” Eddie reached up and ran the back of his hand down your cheek, feeling the heat radiating off your skin.
“I-” you couldn’t think of a good answer.
Your lack of words made Eddie chuckle, he let his hand fall from your face and he reached over you to firmly grip Steve’s cheeks, “Steve babe, wake up. That’s not me.”
Steve stirred awake.
“Wha-” Steve woke up and went to pull you in closer but you let out a whine and his eyes shot open. Looking at the sight before him, Eddie holding his face but propped up leaning over you. You who they’d fallen asleep with after finding the nurse murdered, he became all too aware of his raging hard on that he had pressed as firmly as he could up against your ass.
“SHIT I’m so sorry! I thought Eddie was next to me!”
Eddie let Steve’s face go and laughed, “No harm Stevie I think she kind of liked it!”
“EDDIE!” You lightly pushed at his chest.
“I’m sorry you both are just too adorable!” Eddie leaned in and kissed Steve hard. When they parted Eddie reached over to you and pecked you on the cheek.
“Maybe when we aren’t all recovering from finding murder victims we can have a fun night together?” Eddies gaze softened as he looked at Steve.
Your jaw opened and snapped shut, you and Steve exchanged a look but both nodded.
Then a knock on the door startled everyone.
“Hey it’s Nancy, just wanted to come check on you guys.” She opened the door and walked in. Giving you a questioning look, Nancy was always able to read you like a book written for first graders.
“Just took a nap, we were actually about to come find everybody.” Your voice was higher pitched than normal. Fuck. Nancy would definitely notice.
“They ordered more pizza if you wanted to come down and grab some. Looks like we might actually get a storm tonight too, there’s some nasty clouds rolling in.” Nancy walked towards her side of the cabin and grabbed a wind breaker, giving you a sneaky yet knowing look and biting back her shit eating grin.
Once down in the dining area, the mood was obviously an unpleasant somber one. No one was talking, just quietly picking at their food.
When you walked in Robin shot up from her seat and ran over to wrap you in a hug.
“Are you okay? I was worried you’d have some kind of metal break after seeing that.”
“Robin!” Nancy scolded.
“It’s fine Nance. I’m okay, just need to focus on something else for now. Are they still going to keep the camp open?” You sat down next to Robin.
“Yeah I think that camp counselor leader guy we met yesterday is running around town right now trying to find last minute replacements for both of them, but everyone knows what happened already so no one wants to come up here. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the parents pull their kids out of camp last minute too.” Johnathan said.
“If they cancel we better still get paid for the whole summer! This sucks!” Tina groaned.
Both Tina and Gina had massive blotchy hickies covering their necks they had no intention of hiding from anyone. If anything they were holding their heads a bit higher to show them off more.
“I don’t know, they still haven’t found who did it, what if we are next?” Gina nervously stated.
“Who’d you think they’ll pick off first?” Billy teased her.
“Probably you, they always kill off the ones who sneak off in the woods to bone first.” Robin laughed.
Billy shot her a glare and quieted down.
A loud crack of thunder shook the walls of the dining cabin, and the sound of rain started pounding on the aging roof. Everyone went silent again.
“Well looks like we’re stuck in here until the storm lets up.” Johnathan said.
Another loud crash of thunder sounded as the power flickered and the lights died out. Tina and Gina screeched, Nancy let out a gasp. “Christ!” Eddie swore. Robin and you stood up and started looking around for some candles to light, the storm had made the already dwindling afternoon sunlight go almost completely night black. You managed to find a few small wax nubs tucked away in some kitchen drawers with some matches, you spread them out across the tables and lit them.
“Now would be a good time for some of those ghost stories you had planned Munson.” Robin joked.
“I think I know a few about some camp counselors who get hunted by some psycho in a hockey mask?” Eddie let out an uncomfortable chuckle.
“Yeah I think we already know that one.” Nancy said flatly.
Another loud thunder crashed, as lightening lit up the room.
“I’m not scared of a little rain, I’m going back to my cabin, ladies you coming too?” Billy got up to leave.
Gina got up to go too, Tina scoffed, “You’re joking right? Do you have any idea how long it takes to get my hair like this? I’m not getting it wet.”
“You snooze you lose.” Gina laughed at her friend and followed Billy out into the storm.
“Look I found some board games!” Steve pulled monopoly and scrabble from the dusty cabinets in the corner.
Everyone gathered around the table where Steve set the boxes down and set up a game of monopoly. Hours pass and everyone’s troubles seem to melt away, the laughter is endless, the competitiveness of your friend group could start a war. Then just like the night before a scream rips through the camp, over the thunder and rainy downpour. It had less of its desired effect as the last time but you jumped nevertheless, and your heart stopped beating momentarily.
“Alright what bullshit did you guys plan this time?” Nancy said irritatingly towards Tina.
Tina who was just as startled as everyone else looked around at the table of accusatory gazes, “Don’t look at me! If those two planned another prank I had no part!”
Steve and Eddie shared an eye roll.
“So who’s going to go out there and get soaked?” You looked around the group.
Robin gave you a knowing smirk, “That’s not the first time I’ve heard that this week, if you know what I mean.”
Steve rolled his eyes again, “Robin seriously! You’re dirty jokes are getting out of hand, you’re worse than Billy I swear.”
You and Eddie tried hiding your snickers, it was a pretty good joke unfortunately.
“Come on Nance. You too Johnathan.” You got up and started towards the door as another boom of thunder sounded.
They followed without any argument, Johnathan shrugging off his faded flannel and holding it tenderly over him and Nancy’s heads so they didn’t get wet. The trio quickly jogged up the path to the cabins. When you got to the split in the pathway you forked towards the boys cabin that Billy had commandeered with his camp flings. The sun bleached floral curtain hanging in the small window next to the heavy wooden door was half torn down. It stuck out to you, it was wrong but you weren’t sure why, and it made the hairs on your neck stand up.
You stopped at the door way with Nancy and Johnathan right behind you.
“What is it?” Johnathan asked slightly out of breath.
“Mind going first?” Your voice came out shaky, “was that curtain always pulled down like that?”
“No.” Johnathan said with an audible gulp. Nancy clung closer to him as he moved around you to open the door.
As soon as he cracked the door, it was like a flash of red in a black and white movie. You turned and faced the treeline, not able to stomach the scene, so similar to what you witnessed earlier. Nancy screamed so loud it stung your eardrums, Johnathan pushed her back out of the cabin as he slammed the door shut.
“What if they’re still alive? We have to check!” Nancy fought back, against Johnathan’s embrace and her own fears, needing to check on the pair. Johnathan just shook his head over and over.
Laying in the center of the cabin was Billy and Gina. From the brief flash you saw, Billy’s head was practically cleaved from his body and Gina was left similarly to the nurse, cut from sternum to pelvis, practically gutted. There was so much blood covering them you couldn’t see the bright yellow color of Gina’s shorts, or the logo on Billy’s faded band shirt. You couldn’t hold it in anymore and puked all over the steps.
“Run back and tell the others, then go to the office and call the police! I’ll look around in case that psycho comes back. You two stay together!” Johnathan took charge and made a plan.
“What about you? What if you get hurt too?” Nancy begged him to come with you.
You managed to drag Nancy away and ran down the path, your shirt was drenched in the downpour and stuck to your skin uncomfortably, and you had zero traction in the mud from your well worn converse. With the dining hall in view, you slipped in the mud and scrapped your knees and arm on the rocks hidden in the murky muddy water.
“Nance go call the police!” You screamed over the rain at her.
She slowed to help you stand, then took off towards the nurses cabin. Your limbs stung and you could see the trails of bright red running down your legs and mixing with the rain water. Taking a deep inhale you ran quickly to the dining hall, when you burst through the door everyone’s heads whipped back at you. Steve and Eddie stood and ran towards you, Tina screamed, and Robin grabbed a handful of paper towels to help stop the bleeding.
“What happened??” Steve questioned as he smoothed the soaking pieces of hair from your face.
“Billy. Gina. Dead. —Johna- Johnathan looking for” you were gasping for oxygen, miming a knife stabbing motion while you caught your breath. “Nancy went to call the police.”
Tina’s face when completely pale, her eyes rolled back in her head and she dropped to the ground. Robin ran to her to try and get her awake and alert.
“What the fuck? What the fuck. What is actually happening??” Eddie stumbled over his words and started pacing around.
“Someone needs to go find Johnathan before the killer does!” Robin shouted.
It was chaos, pure chaos. No one knew what to do or where to go, Eddie and Steve shared a look and when silence followed it looked like they were having a whole unspoken conversation with just that look.
“I’ll go find Johnathan, you guys stay here. Robin, go find Nancy.” Steve commanded.
Him ordering you around had a very different effect than when Johnathan had done it just moments ago. Maybe it was the adrenaline mixed with the pain from your fall but Steve bossing you around in a serious life or death situation had you squeezing and squirming around in your shorts. Thank god the rain and mud had made every inch of clothing you were wearing already soaked because you knew there was a slow puddle of arousal gathering in your panties.
Tina was still unconscious, she was breathing, but the knowledge that her best friend was dead shocked her to her core. Eddie and you had lifted her up on one of the tables and made sure she wouldn’t fall, then you walked over the the old brick fireplace in the corner, checking to see if you could light it for warmth.
“Let me. You’ll singe your eyebrows off sweetheart.” Eddie came up behind you silently and grabbed the pack of matches you had in your hands.
He bent down and struck the match, lighting the kindling in the fireplace and throwing a few pre cut logs onto it.
“You okay?” He asked.
“Honestly. I don’t know. At this point we should all get in your van and never look back. Why didn’t we leave earlier? God I feel so stupid.” You shivered.
Eddie pulled you into a tight embrace, his body heat immediately igniting your skin, and you melted into his arms.
“It’s okay, it’s no one’s fault, we didn’t chose to get murdered or stalked or whatever. Just bad luck I guess. We’ll all be okay and get out of here I promise.” Eddie ghosted his lips on the top of your head, his eyes slowly panning down to where your chest met his.
The cold rain had seeped into your bones, and eddies eyes caught directly onto your perked nipples that were standing to his full attention. His cheeks began to show a light dusting of pink, and he cleared his throat before glancing over at Tina who still hadn’t moved.
“Sorry we can’t get you some dry clothes.” His voice got low.
You felt a sudden rush of boldness, wanting some payback for his jab about not waking Steve up. “You don’t look like you’re that sorry.” You said even lower than him, practically a whisper.
“I never was a good liar.” Eddie brought his hand up to your face and caressed your cheek, trailing his hand slowly down your body before it just ghosted over your nipple. “This okay?”
You let out a little moan, and nodding fiercely. “Please.”
Eddie quickly yanked you into a searing kiss, his teeth hitting yours as he bullied his tongue into your mouth. You reached your hands up into his hair and pulled handfuls near the nape of his neck, causing him to let out a groan. His hands traced over your chest, pinching and pulling on your nipples, even more peaked than before.
He pulled away first, completely out of breath. “God when you look at me with those doe fuck-me eyes it makes me painfully hard.”
You released your grip on his hair and let your hand fall down towards the bulge in his jeans. It looked like it was about to rip open the seams. “So big.” You mumbled more to yourself as you caressed him.
Eddie moaned deeper this time, “We don’t really have time for all the things I want to do to you that’ll have you screaming my name like a prayer baby, I’ll have to settle for you coming on my fingers for now.”
Before you could blink Eddie had you lifted up by your ass, legs wrapped around his waist, and he carried you towards a tucked away part of the room, out of view if any of your friends came back early. He set you down quickly and leaned you back against the wall, keeping one leg still wrapped around him loosely, and dove back in for another kiss, this time not as rough but filled with more passion. Like he thought the secret to life’s mysteries were buried deep behind your molars. His ringed fingers dexterously unzipped your shorts and had your panties shoved to the side in a quick motion, moving his lips slowly down your jaw and sucking a bruise into your neck behind your ear. You choked out another moan, as he began slowly rubbing circles around your clit. The coolness of his rings shocking your system, it was a surge of hot kisses and cold metal. Many many times you’d watched him play his guitar or roll a joint and your mind drifted to exactly what else he was able to do with those fingers, now you were experiencing it first hand.
“So fucking wet already.” His breathy voice tickling your ear.
Eddie slipped a finger into you, your body greedily sucking him in and pulsing around his digit. He slowly moved it in and out, sped up, then slowed it back down to an agonizing pace.
“Please Eddie. More.” You ground your body into his palm. Needing more friction. Needing more of him.
“Ask and you shall receive.” He kissed you again, as he inserted a second finger. You gasped in pure ecstasy, feeling so full with just two of his fingers.
Your head was spinning, between the sounds of his fingers going in and out of your cunt absolutely dripping with need, and his rings making little *tink tink* noises everytime he went deeper and faster, you weren’t going to last long at all. He expertly curled his middle and ring finger up and rubbed that spongy spot inside you, making you see static.
“Oh god Eddie right there! More!” You gripped his hair again and threw your head back into the wall.
“Let go sweetheart I’ve got you.” He cooed as his free hand made its way back to your chest and pinched one of your nipples hard.
With that you lost it. Coming all over his hand and moaning shamelessly into his mouth. When you came down from your high he slowly pulled his digits out and licked and sucked on them until they were clean, never breaking eye contact with you.
“Taste like heaven angel.” He winked.
Your legs were completely limp, and Eddie had managed to smear blood from your scraped elbow and knees all over himself, he looked like a positively filthy sinful Van Goh painting. You slid down the wall until your butt hit the floor, and Eddie sat down in front of you, placing your legs in his lap.
“That was probably the best orgasm I’ve ever had. Knew your fingers were magic.” You laughed and waved your hands at him.
“With how much you stare at me I’m amazed you haven’t jumped my bones already. We were pretty close to it earlier too, but our friends are infamous cock-blocks. Ask Steve how many times we’ve been mid sex and one of you dorks walks in the door or calls the phone.” Eddie smiled genuinely at you, still sitting hard in his jeans, but perfectly content just wanting to get you off and nothing more.
You blushed, slightly embarrassed that you’d been called out on how much you gawk, “No force on earth, not even a serial killer, could stop me when I’m horny.”
Eddie rolled his eyes and planted a chaste kiss on your lips.
“How’s your legs? Luckily these scrapes don’t look too bad.” He delicately brushed away a few stray rocks lodged in your skin.
You winced a bit at the sting, “Does this make us next on the hit list? It’s always the sexed up pairs who sneak off together that get offed first. Look at Billy.” You joked but deep down reality was setting in and your friends should’ve all been back by now.
Eddie laughed. “I think we’re fine. Billy’s own cockiness probably got him killed let be real. And besides how do I know you aren’t the killer hm? You were there for 3 murders now.”
“Yeah or maybe it was her.” You gestured towards where Tina should’ve been.
Tina had crawled off the table and ran off outside somewhere, the door left slightly ajar. You could see that the rain was finally letting up so hopefully the police would show up quickly.
A moment later Steve came running in with Johnathan and Nancy. But no Robin. And no Tina.
Steve gave Eddie a knowing look and he winked in response. Maybe they had planned your little moment with Eddie, Steve being the mastermind and orchestrating everyone to split up even when you all knew it was a bad idea. Looking back it wasn’t such a bad idea, atleast for you it wasn’t.
“They cut the phone line. I tried to call but there’s not even a dial tone.” Nancy had tears streaming down her face now.
“I think we need to cut and run while we can, get into the van and drive as fast as possible back to town. We’ll send the cops up once we get back.” Johnathan said logically.
“Good idea.” Steve agreed and you all quickly went to where the van was parked.
Once at the van, Eddie jumped right in to start it up and it wouldn’t start. Looking under the hood, someone had messed with his engine and it wasn’t going to get them out of there without a lot of repair work.
“FUCK!” Eddie slammed the hood down and rounded the back of the van to see if he could try anything else. “No luck, they cut my battery wires. We’re stuck.”
As he threw open the doors on the backside of the van, something or someone came tumbling out. Poor Robin. Her small body wasn’t nearly as bloodied as the others, but she’d been choked to death and the bruising on her neck was starting to surface along with the terrified bulging look in her eyes.
Steve let out a sob. He couldn’t believe his best friend was gone now.
“Well if we can’t escape, we need to fight.” You said.
Your group headed back toward the kitchen, and looted the place for knives or anything else you thought would work. Nancy took the knife, you armed yourself with a pretty heavy fire extinguisher, Johnathan found a meat tenderizer, Eddie found a shovel and Steve a took a fire poker from the fireplace. Your group at in silence, just waiting for what was to come next. Eddie was pacing around near the fireplace, occasionally tossing a new log on to keep everyone warm. You sat against the wall nearby, exhausted from an adrenaline crash, you couldn’t keep your eyes open, your body kept jerking awake everytime you would start to doze off and your head would tip over onto your shoulder.
Steve came and sat next to you. “Here, try and rest a bit.” He said in a low voice, and gently guided your head to rest on his strong shoulder instead.
You greatly accepted and dozed off for about 15 minutes, but time was lost on you. It felt like it could’ve been hours into the night when you jolted awake. The fire had died down to embers and when you looked around Steve and Eddie were both gone. Nancy and Johnathan were curled up against the opposite wall facing you, both sleeping. You tried to listen for any sort of noise telling you where the two guys might’ve went, stretching your stiff limbs and standing up. Your feet had fallen asleep so you had to shake out the tingly static taking over. It sounded like they might’ve gone into the kitchen, you heard some rustling noises from in there, so cautiously you went to investigate. You found Tina, caked in mud and her hair was stringy, flat, and soaking wet. A drastic change from the girl you saw before everything went to hell.
“Are you alright?” You said softly and ran to her.
She was looting the kitchen for something to eat and was shaking from the cold. She didn’t respond. Likely in shock herself, you weren’t sure if she’d gone and found the bodies of her friends or even managed to escape the killer herself.
You led her towards the fireplace to get some warmth, and sat her down on the same side of the room as Nancy and Johnathan were. You heard more wooden floor boards creaking back in the kitchen and it caught your attention, looking away from Tina for a moment, just enough time for her to lunge out at you with her long manicured nails that had mud stuck under them. She scratched a deep cut into the side of your face, you let out a howling sound that woke up your friends. Johnathan was up in the blink of an eye and wrestled Tina off of you.
“Thanks.” You said breathlessly. “There’s something or someone else in the kitchen I think. She’s not talking.”
“Here take this.” Nancy gave you her knife instead of your heavy fire extinguisher.
Before you could take more than a step towards the kitchen, a dark figur appeared in the doorway, dragging an axe against the wooden floor, and it was the source of the noises you had heard. The figure swung the axe up over its head and used the down force to aim directly at you. You stumbled backwards just in time and landed on the floor butt first, attempting to get away before he could strike again you crawled away, the knife still gripped in your hand.
“OVER HERE YOU ASSHOLE!!” Johnathan screamed to get his attention off of you. It worked.
As soon as the killer looked away Johnathan hit him with a foggy cloud expelling from the fire extinguisher he gripped. The cloud filled the room and your lungs, now no one could see a thing.
“Nancy? Johnathan?” You called out to them blindly feeling around trying to not trip over the tables.
Someone grabbed onto your waist with a bruising vise grip, and you screamed.
The killer yanked you towards himself, and wrapped his forearm around your throat in attempt to strangle you. You kicked and clawed at his arms, but to no avail. The grip he had you in was impossible to break free from, and the corners of your vision was starting to get blurry. You felt the killer pull you close to their face, which was covered in some type of ski mask. Through the fabric they inhaled deeply against your hair, letting out a shuttering breath and tightening his arm to restrict your airflow faster.
Just when you thought that was it for you, Tina had managed to find the knife you had and stabbed it into the killers leg, causing no more than a grunt to leak out from his masked face. They dropped you and your knees hit the hard wood flooring as you gasped for air. Tina was trying to dislodge the knife from his leg and get another stab in, but was too slow, he pulled back and punched her hard in the face and she rolled across the floor in pain. With the knife still in his leg he picked up and he axe and slammed it down into Tina’s skull. Blood and brains leaking out around the blade, her body went limp. The killer put a muddy boot on her shoulder and wiggled the axe loose, then reached down for the knife in his leg, pulling it out like it was just an irritating splinter. He snapped the knife with a gloved hand and then turned back to you, you’d regained your ability to breathe but couldn’t get your fight or flight to kick in. Your body chose the secretive third option which was freeze, the room was still impossibly smoky from the extinguisher.
“GET UP!” Nancy managed to find you and grabbed you under your arms and hauled your body up off the floor.
That snapped you out of it and the two of you ran quickly out the back door. Johnathan was waiting by the door, he slammed it shut and shoved a stack of firewood over, blocking the door from opening. The three of you ran with no direction, and ended up on the far end of the summer camp grounds, where they had a fenced off outdoor pool, which still had a tarp pulled over it. The rain had little puddles pulling the tarp down in weird areas, exposing murky green pool water.
“We better climb the fence. Maybe we can hide somewhere in there.” Nancy said.
Johnathan helped her scale the 6ft fence, then you, and he followed last.
“Did you guys see Eddie or Steve? I think they’re trapped in there still with that guy.” A silent tear slid down your cheek.
Nancy rubbed your back in comfort. “They’re probably fine. Maybe they went to go see if they could get the van fixed?”
You nodded.
“Or atleast just snuck off to go smoke somewhere.” Johnathan added.
You all crept around the silent pool area, the rain all but stopping except for a light spray of sprinkling drops that made a *taptaptap* noise on the tarp covered pool. You heard a noise coming from the small shed in the back corner of the pool area, poorly maintained and covered in overgrown trees and moss. You held your breath as you turned the handle, it shrieked from being rusted on the inside, making you wince and the sound. Before you could fully pull open the door, Eddie was standing in the shed with a baseball bat high over his head, ready to drop a home run swing onto whoever opened the door. You screamed as the bat came to a stand still right at the bridge of your nose. You let out a pathetic squeal, bracing for the full impact.
“SHIT sweetheart I didn’t know that was you out there!! You alright?” Eddie dropped the bat and cupped your face in his hands.
“Yeah yeah I’m fine. Just freaked out it all. The killer attacked us. We went looking for you and Steve, I woke up and you were both gone.” You were shaking.
“I’m sorry! We went to look at the van again since the rain calmed down, someone tried attacking us too, with that axe. We ran different directions to try and confuse him. I found this place and hid in here.” He explained. “Nancy and Johnathan are with you too?”
You nodded.
He poked his head out the door and looked around, waving at Johnathan and Nancy who were making their way around the opposite side of the pool.
“Any luck with the van?” Johnathan asked.
“Nah man, even if I could rig something up to get it running, that psycho totally slashed the tires too so we’re not going anywhere.” Eddie rubbed his neck to help get rid of his tension.
“Shit.” Nancy swore. “We’re going to die out here aren’t we?”
No one responded. You all decided you should leave the safety of the pool and make your way back towards the van in search of Steve. You found Steve inside the van, hiding under the bench seat in the back.
“We’re not getting out of here in one piece, someone needs to go and try to get help.” Nancy said.
“She’s right.” You said.
“You girls should stay here in the van with Eddie and get inside and stay hidden. Johnathan and me will go down the main road and try to find something.” Steve said.
The group agreed and you settled down in the back of the van, waiting for a rescue team to swarm the camp, or the killer to pick you all off. Whichever came first.
“Why don’t we play would you rather? Something to get everyone’s mind off of things.” Eddie suggested.
“Sure. Nance wanna go first?” You pulled your knees to your chest.
“Yeah sounds good. It’ll make it feel like a sleepover.” She nervously let out a laugh. Relaxing a bit.
“Would you rather jump into lovers lake in the middle of winter or fail a midterm test?” You asked.
She rolled her eyes. “I’d be jumping into the lake. I had perfect grades in high school and with my perfect college gpa I am not messing up my streak. Your turn Eddie.”
“Better be something juicy.” He joked.
“Would you rather never get to play music again or have to eat nothing but liver and onions the rest of your life?” Nancy asked.
He cringed, “As much as I hate liver and onions, I’d take that over never getting to touch my gorgeous guitar ever again. You’re up sweetheart.” He nodded towards you.
You sighed, “Do your worst Munson.” Shooting him a wink.
“Would you rather be stabbed to death or choked?” A wicked smile spread across his face.
“What the-” Nancy’s stomach dropped as she scrambled to get away from Eddies space.
“Not funny Eddie.” You got angry.
“Not joking sweetheart. By now Steve’s taken care of Johnathan, so you girls are next.” He laughed and held up the ski mask of the same killer who had been choking you out in the dining hall. “Look familiar?” He said in a sing song way.
Nancy screamed, reaching over the seats grasping for the door handle. Eddie yanked her back towards the back of the van.
“Oh no you don’t.” He wrestled her into a headlock and before you could scream he slit her throat and her body dropped.
“God nothing gets me hot like murder.” Eddie laughed and palmed himself in his jeans, eyeing you like a baby fawn cornered by a mountain lion.
“Eddie why?” You choked out.
“If I’m being honest I don’t really know. Just wanted something fun to do this summer.” He laughed. “Why don’t we have some fun before it’s your turn? Or do you want to wait for Steve too? We’ve noticed how you look at us with that horny insatiable look in your eyes when we make out. Face it you’re just as fucked up as me aren’t you?” He caressed the side of your cheek.
You sat frozen, because although you were terrified to admit it, seeing him so turned on from this fucked up game of cat and mouse you’d been playing all day and night, the way him and Steve had consoled you, and the extremely hot moment you’d had with Eddie earlier too, it had you feeling things. Things you shouldn’t be feeling after seeing all of your friends being offed one by one.
“Eddie please.” You begged him, but you weren’t sure what for.
Just then Steve opened the drivers side door and slid into the van. “Well well well, we have our final girl.” He winked, leaning over the seats to run his fingers up and down your arm, causing goosebumps all over your body. You whimpered.
“Well sweetheart what’s your choice? Use your words.” Eddie ran his fingers up your legs, caressing your thighs and just barely grazing his fingertips along your pussy.
“C-can I watch you two? Just a kiss.” You plotted.
Eddie pulled his hand back from you and pulled Steve in close, the row of seats still separated them but they started a steamy make out, their tongues each fighting for dominance. The back of the van was filled small moans and groans, Steve started rutting into the stiff seat interior, and Eddie weaved his fingers through Steve’s gorgeous hair.
While the two were distracted you threw open the back doors to the van and ran as fast and as hard as you could. Tripping over a downed log and reopening your scraped knees from earlier, you picked yourself back up and ran towards the road. You ran past Johnathan’s body, laying bloody and lifeless, but didn’t stop to look. Hopefully someone would be driving on the road and could help you. You saw headlights come speeding up behind you, and you frantically waved, trying to get them to stop.
“HELP PLEASE!!” You screamed.
The car slammed on its breaks, the headlights blinding you so you couldn’t see who it was. You grabbed for the passenger side door and climbed in, they sped off while you caught your breath.
“Thanks for stopping. All my friends were murdered, the killers still out there.” You sobbed.
“Oh I know.”
Your face drained of all the color, looking over to where Steve sat driving you back to the camp. He’d stolen the nurses car and took it.
“Can’t let you get away that easy.” He laughed.
You cried harder.
“Oh you’re so pretty when you cry.” He reached over and meanly gripped your jaw, pulling you closer to lick a stripe up your face, catching your tears before they fell.
He pulled back up in front of the cabin, Eddie stood out front waving and blowing a kiss.
“Now we’re ready to have some fun.” Steve said, carrying you into the cabin.
