Will adjusted his lens instead. “Center ice. Pretend you’re not trying to make me regret doing this for free.”

Mack’s living the dream. Training with Sidney Crosby in Nova Scotia, eating like a king, trying not to die during workouts. It’s great. Really. Amazing. But also? Kind of the worst. Because everything reminds him of Will. So when Sid casually asks, "why not invite him out?" Mack does. Because he’s a normal, chill person who definitely isn’t harboring weirdly intense feelings for his best friend. Nope. Not him. Anyway, it’s fine. Just two guys, one brutal training regimen, a very much not suspicious amount of physical contact, and zero coherent plans for what comes next.
