last time I tried giving them 5 fingers to make it clear this was the human world but man that just was not meshing with my current style so—

This one is based off this ask! It was originally supposed to be sort of angsty and just the single first drawing, but I got thinking about the way dogs actually act and. (Also please ignore how wonky the dog might look, I usually just draw humans and wacky cartoons 😭 You get it, it’s a dog.)

I was debating on whether Laszlo would actually really like dogs or not, but lemme tell you this character who we genuinely know virtually nothing about has my brain in such a chokehold that I already have headcanons for like his childhood and crap—And I kinda think that the Adeleye-Smiths’ dog was like, the first dog he ever actually interacted with and lived with in any capacity. So he’s just kind of awkward around it at first. I think it grows on him eventually tho!

Also, the dog does have a name (Rowdy, which bonus points if you know what show that’s referencing). Laszlo just calls him Dog because of that aforementioned awkwardness, and because Laszlo was just a strange person like that. I think he continues calling it Dog even as he starts to like it more 😭

These aren’t even all the doodles I wanted to post, but I couldn’t finish them all in time before I wanted to post *something*…gah seriously idk why man but Scratch intrigues me. Hopefully he intrigues you guys too :,D

Kinger. Do you like working with Jax? Does he trust you more than others?

I think Jax is starting to trust Kinger more now, but Kinger wouldn’t want to say that as saying it at all would probably kind of violate Jax’s newfound trust. He’s trying to be careful about it. I also actually already have one doodle page I made about the new therapy for Jax >:3 I just wanna make some more doodle pages cuz I don’t wanna post it on its own LMAO AU Masterpost!

What is the worst thing Caine has ever done, other than you know make Pomni an experiment or send Ragatha to Dr. Abel

Does kinger visit Queenie in the quarantine room? Does she react to him in anyway?

whats Kinger favorite animal(s)?

Does Caine need to change his gloves? Or does he just wash his hands and his gloves get clean? Are they an avatar thing or can they be removed?

OOOO YAY QUESTIONS!!!! I love answering lore questions that I can ramble on about like this.

1. Ooo uh. Y’all might get mad at me. I’ve considered making a whole comic about this to kinda like explain it more in-depth but aaaaaah. He’s hit Ragatha himself (lightly, on her wrists), without Dr. Abel telling him to. Abel didn’t even really know Ragatha had gotten in trouble. Ofc there’s much more to it than that, but, Caine’s….Caine’s not perfect, to say the very least. He’s not treating Jax so well right now either, with Jax getting a shock bracelet being in my plans for the future, but that’s slightly more due to Dr. Abel’s influence, and Caine genuinely believes the shocks “don’t really hurt”. I mean, he also thought he wasn’t “really hurting” Ragatha, but…yeah :(

2. GASP I HADN’T THOUGHT OF THAT B4 BUT YOU KNOW WHAT YES

3. He likes dogs, cats, and all bugs! :3

4. Exclusively bees, rabbits, and humans lol

5. He doesn’t! They’re like, a part of his avatar AND function like real gloves??? It’s cartoon logic with that. He washes them a lot tho but mostly bc he knows humans need to do that.

6. He spends a lot of his free time reading books! He also has a little ant farm he takes care of and plays some games on the staff computer. But most of his time is hanging out with the other humans and trying to be there for them :D

7. It’s Jax pretending like he needs Caine’s help with something and actually wants it. Even though Caine knows it’s a distraction, the fact that they chose that to distract him really got to Caine’s metaphorical AI heart 😭

8. Yeah :,) He mostly subsists on coffee that he lets burn his eyes 😭

9. Mostly talk therapy but also kind of a mix! Kinger’s actually not a professionally trained therapist at all so he mostly just pulls out things from his books he thinks might work and does that. His therapy-abilities mostly refined through his experience. He also remembers techniques Queenie used as a child life specialist and tries to adapt them to adults when applicable.

10. Force-feeding Ragatha and taking away pain meds from any of the patients as a punishment:(

11. Dr. Abel is 100% fine with the whole ordeal. It was actually him who suggested Pomni might be perfect for the “little project” that Caine had pitched to him before. Abel’s mostly worried about the experiment costing them money, and he might not renew Caine’s “funding” for him to find a stronger cure now that he’s succeeded in finding a basic cure.
