Just want to thank you all for creating such amazing Slibbs Week material! I've loved seeing and reading all your creations. I don't think it was a coincidence that it coincided with my birthday week.😁 You are a great group of fans!♥️♥️ Thanks for the week of smiles and laughs. And a few tears, I'm looking at you @from-stone-to-hallows and your beautiful video. But mostly the smiles.

For Slibbs week:

My favorite scene is from What Child Is This but it's not the one everyone thinks of, when we think of this episode. It's the scene when she decides to forgo her skiing vacation to help the team. And where does she go? Did she call him first or just show up at his door? And how warm and comfortable at home does she look here? I love it. And then Gibbs comes back into the room carrying the four coffees....you KNOW he put just the right amount of sugar in her coffee because at this point, he's known her for over a year. They just fit. 💕💕💕💕

SLIBBS WEEK - Monday, May 11th to Sunday, May 17th.

***I messed the dates up on the other posts, which @just-a-girl-and-her-ships bought to my attention. I meant that the week finishes at 12am on Monday the 18th (in whatever timezone you’re in, so whenever it hits Monday where you are, that’s when it ends). So Sunday is the 7th day of Slibbs week, it doesn’t go for 8 days.*** 

Slibbs Week topics/themes for each day:

Day 1 - Gifset - Gif your favourite scene Fanfiction - Write a scene you wish would happen Day 2 - Gifset - Gif an AU (Alternative Universe) scene, with your own dialogue Fanfiction - Write a fic (however long you want), about Sloane and Gibbs set in an AU (Alternate Universe) Day 3 - Gifset - Gif your favourite lines Slibbs have said to each other Fanfiction - Write a story about Sloane and Gibbs outside of work - since we haven’t seen it much in the show! Day 4 - Gifset - Make a gifset of moments from your favourite “Slibbs episode”, or just favourite miscellaneous moments in general Fanfiction - Write a fic about how you think, or would want Sloane and Gibbs to finally get together when it hopefully happens Day 5 - Gifset - Parallels/Growth Fanfiction - Write a fic about another way Gibbs and Sloane could have met in the show (kind of like an AU). Day 6 - Gifset - Gif your favourite quotes said about Slibbs by other characters Fanfiction - Write a oneshot about the other characters talking about Slibbs Day 7 - Gifset - Make a gifset based on/inspired by a quote, song or poem that makes you think of Slibbs Fanfiction - Free for all - write whatever your want!

Regarding the topics/themes - you don’t have to follow them if you have your own ideas! If you want to make something based on your own idea, go right ahead :). It would be good if some people followed the topics though.

Also, you don’t have to make gifs - if you’d rather make another kind of edit, go right ahead! Graphics and screenshot edits are more than welcome, so is fanart :). Everyone is welcome to participate if you want to make an edit or write a fic!

When the Ship Finally Comes into the Harbour

A little something for Slibbs week.

The flight back from Pearl harbour was a long one. He just wanted to go home and work on his boat but luckily the flight offered alcohol. It seemed to dull the ache in his chest a little more. He'd only been to Pearl Harbour once before, it was just as heart wrenching as the first time he stepped foot onto that memorial except this time he had a promise to keep.

The bourbon did the trick for most of the flight. Which is why he wasn't surprised or protested when he saw her waiting for him as he walked through arrivals. They didn't say anything to each other. There was nothing to say, his flight was horrible, the experience wasn't something neither of them wanted to discuss and he was beyond tired. It was written all over his face and Jack was good at reading people, especially cowboys and former marines.  

DC was raining when his plane landed and hadn't let up on the drive home. They rushed inside after she pulled her mini into his driveway behind his truck. she wanted to make a retort about his door being locked but held it in. He didn't even make any attempt to head to his bedroom and made a B line for the basement.

Jack followed silently, she knew he wanted to be alone but it didn't feel right to just leave him be right now. He was in his head, deep in thought and drowning his emotions in alcohol, maybe he needed to talk even if he didn't want to.

"You babysitting me, Lieutenant?"

"That what you think I'm doing, Marine?"
