Broken now fixed. The BRAUN permanent TFG-1. This takes me to the late ‘60s, I picture a group of old friends gathered around chain smoking and filling the room with a haze. You look to the single bulb shade hanging over head and a creeping cloud of smoke moves from left to right. Why is there so much tweed?! It’s in the couch, the jacket on the guy to my left, her hat... Suddenly I am back on my kitchen table having taken the lighter apart. Was it a butane leak? Anyhow, sanded down all the corrosion, cleaned the jet, and now it’s as good as new. I love that it is the “West Germany” made version. The ones that followed were made in Ireland.
