What the fuck is it going to take

I think a lot of people were justifiably happy, or at the very least not upset, that a bunch of journalists got laid off  recently because it was seen as trimming the fat. The thought in my mind at least was that these outlets wouldn't jump to canning a bunch of good journalists and instead would just cut out these redundant bullshit artists that do nothing but write articles that hold zero value other than to those who swallow up their propaganda wholesale. Considering this was post Covington my hope was that this might be some step towards fixing the issue, but no. We are not out of the second month of the year and we already have another case of them doing the exact. same. shit. To be fair. Smollett has not been convicted of setting up this “hate crime” yet, but it has displayed in spades the fact that nothing has changed. Immediately they believed it and went out writing article after bullshit article where they use this as an excuse to berate the same groups that they have been for years. As the story unraveled they began to talk about how even if it’s fake all of their sentiments still ring true.

Fuck off.

They so want to believe in this reality that they made up in their fucking heads that anyone who isn't a white male is under constant threat of murder and assault the instant they leave their home. There have been more than enough high profile cases of faked hate crimes that these morons should at least be cautious when it comes to diving headfirst into activist support for the supposed victim of these crimes. Ethical journalism means nothing I guess. How long will this be allowed to continue? Cause its really starting to look like nothing short of the collapse of these outlets will even begin so solve the problem.
