He mustered a slow blink of the eyes before his head tipped to the side, gaze exploring the other’s features. He was confused  because he didn’t know what they had there, nor was he filled into whatever it was. So of course, the only think he could say was the first thought that came forth. “What do we have here ,exactly?”

…in which chanyeol stays over at hyungseok’s house for the night.

☼⁶¹ — although it’s not something that chanyeol is very open to admitting, sometimes it’s nice to go and have a night out with a friend. with the busy end of the year schedules that went right into the new year, he desperately wants to unwind and relax a little bit, and even just through talking to hyungseok by text message, the guy was able to tell that chanyeol really needs a little break. after all, there is stress that comes along wit each schedule and as much as he wishes it wasn’t so stressful, there’s nothing that can be done about it.

that’s why he finds himself at hyungseok’s place one night, pretty late in the evening with a few empty bottles of soju that were shared between the two of them. there’s still a couple more, but chanyeol has drank the most, far more than the other has, and he’s getting to that point where he knows he should stop but doesn’t necessarily want to. he’s been saying the whole night that he won’t limit himself to anything, that he’ll just have fun. and that’s exactly what he’s been doing – at least until he’s slumped over on the couch and he’s laughing at pretty much anything and everything. he’s definitely drunk.

normally, chanyeol would just go back to exo’s dorms, but the moment he suggests he should be getting home, he can’t even bring himself to stand, and when he does manage to stand, he’s stumbling and plopping right back down on the couch.

‘i don’t think i can do it–’ a serious situation, but he ends up laughing over it. ‘ahhhh, hyungseokkie! we’ll just have a sleep over! doesn’t that sound fun?!’

“ You will excuse me, Hyungseok, ” the boy remarked blandly, expression bordering on incredulity, “ but it is rather impossible to remain perfectly still in such a packed train carriage don’t you think? All these people. ” A laboured grunt forces its way out his lungs as he attempts to stand his ground against the crowd that is pushing their way around the already cramped space. “ I would honestly offer my apologies, but I think help would be a better option considering how you’ve been fumbling with that horribly tangled set of earphones for the past couple of minutes. It’ll be less tedious if you begin with untangling the end with the jack plug instead of pulling on random bits of the wire from the middle—  ” Another unceremonious shove was planted onto his back and the boy surged forward, stumbling further into his companion’s bubble of space as a string of curses were muttered. “ Ugh. Of all places to run into each other again, we meet in the thick of the rush hour. No, don't misunderstand; it's nice to see you again, but I hate the goddamn morning shift. ”
