Meadow: If you live nearby, who knows. Maybe we'll bump into one another. Where do you live? By a shrine or something? And yes, surprise me. Milo: Actually not too far from a shrine, a small cozy house not too far from one of the bigger rentals here I think. And I wouldn't mind bumping into you again.
He chuckles and winks before he excuses himself and disappears inside the café, coming out a few minutes later with a tray with goodies.
Milo: This is their famous Macha coffee with just a hint of caramel, so I hope you like it. As for a tasty treat, I decided on their shared platter, as it has a little bit of everything they are known for, after all, why limit oneself to only one tasty treat.
He sits down on the chair, handing her the cup, and putting the plate between them.
Milo: Now if I remember, we have a Melon Pan, before you think it, no it does not taste like Melon, but it is tasty. Manju, Dango, Daifuku, Karinto, Amanatto, and Arare for a more salty treat and of course Ichigo Ame.
He points at the different snacks as he says their name. The Ichigo Ame is a specialty of theirs, they make it with a very special coating. -he winks - I hope this at least makes a little up for me causing you so much distress.
Meadow: Ichigo Ame, heh? They look like caramelized strawberries!
She smiles, taking one of the candied strawberries giving it a bite. She makes a happy, delighted noise.
Meadow: As sweet as I imagined! Honey-based coating?
She asked curiously as it was very tasty.
Meadow: Okay, the strawberries earned you forgiveness. -she smiles brightly at him- I love strawberries and cherries. Milo: That is my guess, I have asked what they use for it, but they always just smile and nod and pretend they don't understand, family secret recipe is my guess.
He chuckles, chewing on one of the Dango.
Milo: But I do believe it's honey, but it's spring honey, and as another guess, from when the cherry blossoms bloom.
He watches her as they talk, there is something about her.. Magic..
