(The camera is facing a couch that is backed by a simple, beige wall. Seungmin, Hyunjin, and Jeongin are sitting on the couch. Han and Felix are sitting on the ground in front of the couch. Chan, Minho, and Changbin are seated behind the couch. All eight of them are talking softly, or saying hi to the chat as they wait for more people to join the stream.)
(After a couple minutes, Chan clears his throat and the others settle down)
Chan: (smiling at the camera) Hello Stay, good morning to you all! And good evening or good night to those of you in later time zones. Ah, as you might know, our concert last night ended abruptly and we’re just here to give you the full story about what happened.
Chan: (looking a little more serious, but in a comforting way) About an hour into our concert, Seungmin collapsed to the ground. This happened during our performance of Chk Chk Boom. Seungmin, as you can see, is completely fine.
(Seungmin raises a hand to the camera and nods)
Chan: What actually happened was that he was experiencing a reaction to the pain bond he has with our soulmate.
(He pauses for a moment, eyes darting over the screen as the insanely fast live chat flies by)
Chan: Felix wasn’t lying when he spoke at the concert, and yes we do mean our soulmate. All eight of us have a bond with her, as she does with us. (he puts his hands up placatingly) She is okay, but we had to go be with her. We hope you understand.
Chan: Anyone who had a ticket for the concert last night is being properly compensated. We’re having a make-up show tonight, and for those unable to attend, you will receive a full refund along with a few items sent to you, free of charge, as part of our apology.
(All eight boys give a small bow)
Minho: (speaking quietly but firmly) We’re sorry it happened, but we’re not sorry we left.
(the rest of the group nods or voices their agreement)
Chan: (puts a hand on Minho’s shoulder) The health and wellbeing of our soulmates has always come first to us, and we’re very grateful that you all understand that. That being said… soulmates, in this case, means all of us. All eight of us, nine of us, are soulmates. (he puts up a single hand) We’ll take questions about it in a second, but let’s at least introduce our ninth soulmate first.
(All eight of them look just off screen at someone. Hyunjin and Jeongin pat the space between them on the couch. Y/N steps into frame, moving to sit between the two. She waves at the camera)
Y/N: Hello, I’m Y/N. Sorry about yesterday, Stay, it wasn’t exactly how I wanted the evening to go either.
(Minho rolls his eyes fondly. Seungmin snorts while Changbin and Han let out laughs)
Y/N: I’m okay though! As much as I can be.
(Jeongin takes Y/N’s hand and squeezes it, and the other boys are very clearly smitten as they glance at her. Felix looks up at Chan, who nods at him. Then, the younger boy gets out his phone while Chan looks back at the camera.)
Chan: Felix is going to pick some questions from chat, because we’re sure you have more questions than we can think of off the top of our heads.
Felix: (looking at his phone before his eyes light up slightly) Ah here’s a good one to start with. How did we all know that we were soulmates? (He sets his phone is his lap as he looks around the group)
Han: I mean, most of it was found out through our trainee years. Not all of us want to fully disclose our soulmarks, but- (he glances up at Chan with a smile) I knew it was Chan in the mess hall. I remember looking up and seeing that my red string connected to his. (He brings up his left hand and wiggles his ring finger, which makes Chan bring up his right hand and wiggle his ring finger back. He looks back at the camera)
Y/N: Of course, you can guess I was the odd one out. (She smiles a bit) But I did actually know three of them before I knew the rest. We have bonds that let us communicate. I really wanted to meet organically, though, so I didn’t know about their job until… 2020 ish. (She laughs) A friend recommended their music to me, actually, and then when I looked them up, wouldn’t you know it I recognized two of the faces and three of the names! The rest of the pieces fell into place after that, slowly but as they were meant to.
Chan: We didn’t get to finally meet in person until a year ago, actually.
(Felix checks his phone again)
Felix: alright the next two questions I'm seeing the most are “Y/N what do you do for a living?” and “do you speak Korean?”
Minho: Yah, sometimes she speaks it better than Yongbok.
(Seungmin snorts, while Felix gasps in mock offense.)
Y/N: I mean, listen, I've been learning Korean since I was a kid. (She pats the top of Felix's head) I got lucky and was tipped off that most of my soulmates spoke Korean, so my parents got me a language tutor. I also am pretty fluent in ASL. Now as for my job…
(Changbin looks very excited, practically vibrating as Y/N starts to speak about her work)
Y/N: I'm actually a stunt actor! I really enjoy it, though because of this (she gestures to her arm) I'll have to take off for a bit.
Changbin: She is so cool to watch! We met her on the set of Deadpool and Wolverine and seeing her in action..?! (He swoons a little)
(Y/N blushes and playfully sticks her tongue out at him. Changbin beams)
Changbin: It's true!
Han: (nods) Over the past year we've been watching through all the movies she's stunted in. (He gives a wide grin to the phone and points) Stay! Go check out her IMDb! Support her work!!
(The other boys chorus their agreement and she grumbles good naturedly, but is looking at them all so fondly)
Felix: (reading from phone) Were any of the theories about you accurate?
Y/N: The boys have shown me some of them, and I've encountered a few myself. (Thinking) Yes and no. (Smirks) I will say, my first sighting is for sure the London vlog, I think that was SKZ Talker Go Season 4 episode… 5? But honestly, I don't think I've seen anyone who's spotted all of them so… (she winks at the camera)
Chan: (grinning) One that no one spotted, but I've been dying to share, is that her vocals are featured in our song, “Stray Kids.” She's part of the harmonies in the chorus.
Minho: (nodding) I was there for that recording. We'd just finished mine. She did very good.
Changbin: (beaming) Baby's first vocal recording session!
Chan: I think we kept the footage from that actually…
Y/N: Guys it wasn't that great.
Han: (whips around to face Y/N) Yes it was! I know you're not a professional but you sounded great!
Changbin: We'll get you vocal lessons. You can star on our next album.
(3Racha exchange knowing looks, nodding to each other)
Y/N: You guys are ridiculous.
Hyunjin: (softly but still picked up by the camera) I love hearing you sing.
Felix: (smiles up at Y/N before checking his phone again and picking another question) “How old are you Y/N?”
Seungmin: Yah, Stay, don’t you know not to ask a woman her age?
(Y/N reaches over and bats him lightly on the shoulder, which he tries to dodge with a cackle)
Y/N: (huffs fondly before looking back at the camera) I’m younger than Chan, but older than Minho. (smiles) Do with that what you will.
Jeongin: She’s our Noona~
(Felix is reading his phone and perks up a bit)
Felix: Ooh! This is a fun one. “Y/N have you, or the boys, ever thought about what your SKZoo would be?”
Chan: (snorts) We’ve actually talked about this once or twice. We all agreed on a cat.
Hyunjin: (nodding) Because she’s so agile! And she always lands on her feet!
Changbin: And I swear sometimes you come around a corner and she’s just- standing on top of random furniture!
Minho: (smirks) And she gets the 3am zoomies.
Y/N: That was one time!! I was jetlagged and loopy!
(They all laugh together)
Chan: We can’t hang out a ton longer, as we do have a show tonight now, but we’ll take a couple more questions!
Felix: Lightning round! Okay, favorite song of ours?
Y/N: Hellevator, because it led me to you guys.
(A couple of the guys “aww” at that)
Felix: Do you follow any other kpop groups?
Y/N: (giggles) I’m a big fan of ATEEZ and TWICE. (She winks at the camera)
Felix: Who'd you meet first?
Y/N: In person? Chan was the first one I saw, but Changbin, Han, and Jeongin were there, too!
Felix: Where are you from?
Y/N: I was born in the US, and I currently live in LA.
Felix: Alright last one, is it difficult having 8 soulmates? (He sets his phone on his lap and looks at the group) I mean, I don’t think so.
Changbin: (nose wrinkled) Difficult is a weird word. Are we 100% happy-go-lucky all the time? Obviously not, we’re people, but I wouldn’t want even one less soulmate.
Seungmin: We all got along before Y/N obviously, but we could tell something was missing.
Chan: We’re all adults and we all care about each other, so even our disagreements just serve to make us stronger in the long run, I think.
Y/N: Communication is important to us, as it should be in any healthy relationship. (She looks around at the boys fondly) And I wouldn’t trade a single one of you for the world.
(Hyunjin squishes her into a hug and Changbin leans down to do the same)
Minho: Yah, they’re alright I guess.
(Han gets up and runs around the back of the couch to hug Minho)
Han: Aw I knew you liked us!
(Minho looks disgruntled but you can tell he’s holding back a smile. You can just barely see that he’s slipped his arm around Han’s waist behind the couch)
Chan: Well, thank you all again for tuning in. We hope this clears things up, and we’re excited to see you all at the show tonight!
(All nine of them wave goodbye and thank Stay for coming before the livestream feed cuts)
Up until the moment where the nine of you had to go to the arena, the boys were practically plastered to your side. You knew that your injury was a large part of it, but you honestly felt like the reveal was a big reason, too.
It was… draining. Not in a strictly bad way, you just hadn’t been prepared for how raw you'd feel afterwards.
So you didn't mind the hovering, because you were clingy, too. Felix had changed your notification settings before the livestream to help you be less overwhelmed. You'd honestly tried to stay away from the internet for the first few hours after the livestream.
At the end of the day, Stay's opinion of you wouldn't change your relationship with the boys. They were yours and you were theirs.
That didn’t mean, however, that you weren't a bit worried. Sure the livestream reactions had been overall positive, the questions had seemed nice, but you didn't know what Felix was or wasn't filtering out.
Around lunch time, Minho, observant as he was, finally commented on it.
You'd been seated on the couch, hanging out with Felix, when he walked over and stood in front of you. “Give me your phone,” he said plainly, holding out his hand.
You tilted your head, narrowing your eyes in confusion. You slowly handed your phone to him. “Why?”
“You're still stressed about the livestream,” he stated, not asked. He was looking at your phone, tapping around as he spoke.
You sighed, not denying it. “I'm trying not to be. I don't usually care so much about what people think, but…”
Felix had his arm around your shoulder and rubbed at it soothingly. “Anxiety isn't rational.”
“I know, but this feels important,” you managed to explain. “Stay is Stay, like, it's why you're here. If they all hate me-”
You hadn't noticed Chan had walked over until he spoke up. “They wouldn't be true Stay if they hate someone so important to us.”
You glanced over your shoulder at the older man. Something in your face must've given away your uncertainty, because Chan's expression softened. He stepped up behind the couch, hands resting on the back near you. He leaned down and kissed the top of your head.
“Besides, they don't hate you,” he reassured, glancing up at Minho, which made you look up, too.
“There's always going to be haters,” Minho said with a slight eye roll, “but I wanted to show you what the general reaction has been.”
He handed your phone back to you. He'd opened up Instagram and was currently on a fan edit.
You let the video play curiously. It was all footage from the livestream, set to cute music, showing close up moments of when the boys looked at you with “heart eyes” as the caption said.
It made you smile, just watching it. You scrolled down hesitantly, wanting to take a peek at the comments.

“Oh,” you said softly. You felt warmth fill you as you read the kindness on the screen.
Chan kissed the top of your head as Felix showed you his phone, which was currently on your IG page. “You've also gained at least 200,000 followers since the live.”
“Not everyone catches our livestreams, either,” Chan noted. “I wouldn't be surprised if that kept growing over the next couple days.”
You snorted. “Maybe I should take a crash course in media training.”
“If you want to, we can hook that up, but don't feel like you have to,” Chan reassured you. “Whatever comes up, we'll handle it together.”
Minho nodded. “We're a package deal, all nine of us.”
You beamed. “I love you guys.”
Felix beamed as he pulled you into a hug. “And we love you, too.”
The show that night went off without a hitch. The fans cheered loud and proud. You got to watch backstage as they interacted with the crowd, and you even saw a few signs mentioning you and wishing you well.
You tried your best not to tear up, but when you noticed one of your boys get emotional over it, you couldn't keep them at bay.
They were happy tears, after all, it was okay for a few to spill.
After the show, you all spent one more night in Melbourne before travelling to Sydney the next day. The boys had scheduled downtime to see their family and enjoy Australia before the Sydney show that upcoming weekend.
You got to your hotel by midday. The plan was to grab a bite to eat and then head to the beach, which Felix had been excitedly gushing about since you all had woken up.
The nine of you had gotten two suites, which had a door connecting them. You tossed your suitcase into one of the bedrooms, since the nine of you just ended up on whatever bed was closest half the time, and quickly changed into your swimsuit. You threw an outfit on over the top, packed some spare clothes and socks into a beach bag, and headed back out into the main room.
“Yah, do we have sunscreen?” Minho asked as he also came back into the main room.
“We can grab some from the store when we walk to the beach,” Chan called from the bathroom, which had the door open.
“We better. Stay didn't sign up to watch lobsters perform for them.”
You snickered at that, but Minho just pointed at you, too. “And you're already hurt enough. I'm not letting you get sunburnt on top of it.”
You rolled your eyes affectionately but stepped over to kiss him on the cheek. “Mother hen.”
Minho gave a small, fond smile. “Someone has to keep your asses healthy.”
Slowly the rest of the boys made it into the main room, ready to head out. Felix was practically vibrating in place, beaming in excitement.
“You know we're getting food first, right?” Seungmin teased lightly.
“Well yeah! But I'm still excited,” he gushed.
“Everyone ready? Sunglasses, hats, towels?” Chan checked, looking over the group.
You patted yourself and peeked in your bag, making sure you had everything.
Including something specific that Chan didn't mention. You'd be devastated if you left that behind.
“Ready!” You chorused along with everyone.
The lunch place was close to the beach, which the hotel was also close to, so the nine of you decided to walk. It was a nice day out, and the boys were able to get away being out in public a bit more here than they did in Korea.
Of course, there were still two security guards tailing behind, but they were hardly noticeable.
You ended up walking between Felix and Hyunjin, the two grabbing one of your hands each. You giggled as you swung your arms, feeling the urge to skip as you made it to the restaurant.
The spot had an upstairs, outdoor patio that Chan had made sure to reserve for your group the night before. It was private enough and had a great view of the ocean.
The perfect setting for the surprise you had.
You ended up sitting between Changbin and Seungmin, the nine of you chatting happily as you placed your drink orders and looked over the menus.
“What's good here Felix?” Han asked with a teasing grin.
“Oh just cause it's a Sydney restaurant I'm supposed to know everything about it?” He fired back playfully.
“Exactly! Isn't that right Chan? Or should I say Christopher-”
The playful bantered continued, the boys mimicking Chris and Felix's Australian accents as horribly as they could. You couldn’t help but laugh at it all.
“Come on, who has the best accent?” Changbin asked, looking between Chris and Felix.
“Han clearly,” you joined in, “Britain did own Australia at one point, so it's basically a cousin accent-”
“You take that back!” Felix gasped.
You laughed harder. “It's just the truth!!”
Finally, the waiter came back and took your food orders. As the boys were distracted, you turned and fished the small pile of boxes out of your bag. You set them on your lap and waited patiently for the waiter to leave before clearing your throat.
“So,” you said as the boys stopped to look at you, “I know it's not quite the year mark yet, but I thought doing this here would be more special since we had a bit more downtime…”
They all looked expectant, eyes twinkling with excitement as you finally put the boxes up on the table top.
Chan's eyes softened. “You didn't have to get us anything.”
You held up a finger and raised an eyebrow at him. “That's bullshit. Sure I don't need to, but this is about us. It's something I want to mark and celebrate, so I'm going to.”
You passed out the boxes to each of the boys, keeping one in front of yourself. “Alright, open it.”
You didn't look as you opened your own. You already knew what it was. You just wanted to watch the boys’ reactions as they revealed their presents.
Minho was the first to hold his up, a small, puzzle piece shaped metal charm.
“I didn't want to attach them to anything, that way you guys could all pick where you wanted it,” you explained softly, fiddling with your own piece absentmindedly. “They're not a random shape, either! They actually all fit together to make a heart.”
“Aww!” Han cooed, looking up at you with his boba eyes. “Seriously?”
“That's so cute,” Felix agreed softly.
The boys all excitedly held their pieces out and you showed them how they fit together.
“Obviously you don't have to wear them if you don't want, but I thought it'd be nice. We all have a piece of each other, you know?” You explained.
“They're perfect,” Chan told you seriously.
The boys all agreed, Changbin instantly laying a kiss on your cheek as Felix, Han, and Hyunjin ran around the table to pepper you with kisses, too. Jeongin threw a heart hand and blew a kiss at you, and Minho winked and kissed the air as well. Seungmin waited for the other boys to sit back down before softly kissing your cheek in thanks.
You didn't know it was possible for your heart to feel this full.

The worst part about breaking your arm wasn’t the lack of movement, but rather how long it took to heal. Mainly due to the fact that you got used to being around your boys nearly 24/7. You travelled with them, hung out backstage while they performed, you basically never left their sides.
But once you healed, you knew you needed to go check on your place and take on a gig, just to prove that you could. No matter how much it would suck to not hear their laughter or be able to easily reach out and hold one of them at any given moment.
Your healing landed just after they’d finished their first bit of the tour, but they weren’t exactly lounging around in the meantime. They were already prepping their choreography for the beginning of the Latin America portion, as well as planning an upcoming album that they hoped to release in August.
They were hard working madlads, truly.
So, if anything, it was probably the best time for you to have to leave. You made sure to take on a short gig, regardless, because you wanted to be there for their first show back in Santiago. Your goal was to hang out again during their Latin America portion, then work a short gig and rejoin them once they began the US portion of the tour.
Announcing that to your boys is what led to the current situation.

Reflection: yeah! Not the whole time, we thought it could be a fun surprise for Stay.

Reflection: you could help sing “Social Path” and then just, hang out and stuff during the rest of the show?
Y/N: pff don’t phrase it like a question, i can tell you’ve thought about this a lot

Reflection: between Minho and Hyunjin, you’ll be an expert in no time 😉
So you’d flown to Seoul the moment you were done with your gig, because the boys weren’t heading to Chile until three days before the show.
You and the boys discussed which choreos could be most easily altered to add another person, and which you could just jump around and show off some flips in. It was fun practicing with them, and honestly, it was pretty similar to learning choreo for specific stunt sequences. Although, Minho was constantly trying to get you to “relax” and not be so striking with your motions.
“You look like you’re fighting someone,” he joked.
You threw your hands up in the air, but you were grinning, too. “Well I usually am fighting someone!”
And now you were here, hanging out backstage and watching as your boys performed.
They’d all decided to wear Noonaco on their outfit in some way, which had made the fans go crazy. A couple of them made sure to wear multiple so they could throw a few out to the audience, because none of them wanted to give up their originals.
They were singing the closing verse of “Topline” now, and you felt butterflies in your stomach. Hair and make-up had already pulled you aside earlier, waiting until closer to your show time so you didn’t mess it up before going on.
A staff member came over and handed you a microphone as the beginnings of “Social Path” started playing through the speakers. You fiddled with your ear piece and took a deep breath.
You knew the lines. “Social Path” was one of your favorite songs they had. The boys reassured you that you were going to do great, but the nerves still rushed over you.
You took in a deep breath and slowly let it out.
The chorus had just finished and now Chan was singing his part. You nodded to the staff member, checking that your mic was on, before walking out onto the stage.
“Look back- the ashes prove my passion always burns eternally,” you sang out as you crossed the stage towards your boys. Felix grabbed your hand, beaming at you as you continued, “No regrets, I love this feeling, down this road- call it the Social Path.”
The audience was screaming as Felix continued and you joined in with the dancing. The boys kept cycling around you until it was your turn again. You belted out your part excitedly and you swore you even heard Changbin whoop in excitement.
Then you got to join them together in singing.
“Gave up my youth, for my future. I just want to rise up stronger.
“I’m gonna, look back, the ashes prove my passion always burns eternally,” Chan was by you now and the two of you faced each other as you sang. “No regrets I love this feeling, down this road- call it the Social Path.”
The audience was going crazy. You took a moment to catch your breath, using both hands to wave to the audience as Changbin came over and scooped you up, making you a few feet taller. You laughed.
“Do you guys mind if Y/N joins us for the rest of the show?” Chan asked the audience with a grin.
The approval was resounding, making you laugh louder. The butterflies in your stomach had already turned into sparklers, lighting up your body with adrenaline and excitement.
“Great! Because she learned the choreo for this and it’d be a crime if it went to waste,” he teased as “LALALALA” started playing.
Having your boys around you, and the audience being so lively, made it easy to perform. You didn’t sing much the rest of the show, but your boys dragged you into the choruses with them a few times. You even got to go down to the barricade at one point, with one of the boys following you, and interact with a few fans.
And when you did your first backflip on the stage during Maniac? Oh my god, Stay lost it.
You decided to show off a bit more, you didn’t work out for your job for nothing, and went over to scoop up Han near the end of the song. You cackled at the look on his face as you easily walked around the stage with him over your shoulder.
As you all came back out for the encore and you got to sing again during “Stray Kids,” you looked around at all the faces in wonder. All these people who loved your boys, and now you by extension. You must’ve looked emotional, because suddenly you were surrounded on all sides by your boys. You laughed as a few tears of joy slipped down your face.
God this was exactly where you belonged, and you couldn’t be happier.
