was it supposed to hurt this much? coming back from hell, correction being dragged back , had taken much more out of her than she had expected. The Harvelle woman had positioned herself in the farthest back corner of the dive bar and allowed her head to sink into her hands. Her head was heavy. The tension that held in her shoulders made them ache with every movement. If she was being honest every inch of her body had ached but there was a job to do so she had forced herself out of the run down hotel room she had been staying in.
She heard the glass touch down against the tabletop, but didn’t bring herself to meet the eyes of her guest. She hadn’t been expecting anyone. Hell, few had known she was back and less than a hand full had known her location.
“That seat is taken.”
