Time is Illmatic was an amazingly well-done documentary! I loved the use of old and new footage, having old interviews and pictures accompanied by present-day interviews really worked for this story.

My favorite was the way that they used editing to put emphasis on music and Nas' iconic songs throughout his life and career. I feel like it really draws you in into the music. I especially appreciated the ending shot before the credits where we can hear Nas rapping with the song, and then it cuts a few times so we can listen to his raw voice.

I really loved this first episode of the Naomi Osaka documentary. It is incredibly cinematic and well edited.

The first shot I loved because there's a slow zoom in to Naomi while everyone around her is working and the juxtaposition between her stillness and the chaos around her is so intense!

I loved the second shot which showcased a moment of rest after an exhausting match.

The third shot where Naomi was interviewing with Coco and she was encouraging her despite her loss, it was a very touching moment that resonated with me!

The fourth shot in itself is so good! I loved the angle! But the added scenes of Naomi and her sister playing tennis when they were little really added to the entire documentary.

The color palette for the entire movie is so eye catching! Such bright colors make the scenes really pop out while you're watching it.

Focusing on color and mood for the 2nd and 3rd pictures, I thought it was quite interesting how in the first one Amelie is happy and the color palette is red/green, while in the next one she's sad and the color palette is red with yellow and blue. I liked that the prominent color here is red while depicting contrasting moods.

1. "Buck" by Brainstory. I love the first album due to the bold color choice, I think it really stands out. The typography used for the title fits well with the design of the horse and I feel like it brings your eyes right to the center.

2. "Do You Like Me" by Daniel Caesar. For the second album artwork I like how they decided to use a solid color on on the left side and having the closeup of his face on the right side. The label using a mix of type and handwriting is a good complement as well.

3. "Mango" by Black Party. Besides the fact that I love this picture, I love the idea of having the artist name and album title made into a fruit sticker. I like how it's directly in line with the person at the bottom which adds symmetry.
