Your issues surrounding your body wasn't something that you had talked to Davis about outright.
In fact, you had never told him about it... ever, but you knew he suspected something.
And he did.
He saw how you would try on clothes, whilst he lay in bed after staying the night at your place, playing on his phone whilst you got ready for the day.
You would try on items of clothing that he thought you looked beautiful in, only to pull it off in a frustrated huff and ending up opting for a baggy hoodie instead.
Not that he minded of course, he thought that you looked beautiful in anything, even a bin bag if that's what you wanted to wear that day.
However, your frustration upset him, especially when it came to going out for dates in restaurants.
Often, you would opt for the measly side salad, which upset him since he wanted you to be enjoying your date not worrying about how many calories that you were putting into your body.
Whenever he asked if you wanted something else, you would always reply that you weren't hungry, even if you were.
Finally, Davis had enough.
He took you out shopping to buy you new clothes. Ones that you liked and felt comfortable in. The sales associate helped you find a silhouette that was more fitting to you, and that helped your confidence by miles.
Davis began to take a backseat on the shopping trip as your confidence grew as you pulled more and more items of clothing off the rack and rushing to the changing rooms to try on.
Then, Davis took you out for lunch, making sure that you picked the place that you would be most comfortable going.
You returned home completely exhausted, Davis moving to the wardrobe as you laid on the bed so he could help you throw out all of the clothes that didn't fit you, or that made you feel bad about yourself.
That night, you went to sleep with the biggest smile on your face as Davis held you close, stroking back the hair of his precious person whom he loved so dearly.
He didn't give a shit what you looked like.
He just loved YOU.
