Concept: The solar system never changed, Venus got life, Proto-Earth and Theia never collided, etc.
Card concept: It could be a "double planet" anomaly, or a planet card, they share an orbit, so when drawing the card you could only choose one of the two.

Meet Caether
(pronounced as: sai-thuh)
He is a habitable planet in the 'past universe' that existed before ours. He's the third planet from his host star and is the predecessor of the Earth. He mostly resembles his successor from the time of the supercontinent Pangaea.
In my alternate universe, he briefly accompanied Earth (as an apparition) when he was alone as Caether saw the life he endured in Earth's situation.
